Activity 2

First, is the opinion of others to my actions and attitude. This causes limitations to
myself because I am afraid to become the center of judgment among the people I know.
Second, I am afraid of the negative consequences. For example, if I break a rule or law
in the house or in the society itself, I am afraid of its consequences, that is why my
actions are limited. Lastly, I am afraid of hurting the feelings of my loved ones. Thus, my
actions are not really that free even though no one is stopping me. I am afraid that my
actions will disappoint my parents.
Evaluation

1. According to my understanding, what Heidegger means in his concept of

“being-in-the-world” is having a deep involvement with the world itself. On how
society runs or how one should have personal growth in order to attain fulfillment.
It is like being present and living our existence on earth. It is also having a
meaningful life to live our purpose. His concept is more than existence but it is
living deeper and in connection with a purpose. That is - to fulfill our destiny
during our “being-in-the-world”

2. I want to correct my ways of handling school life and my past relationships with
people. I want to become a more responsible student who gets awards to make
my parents proud. I also want to correct the mistakes I made regarding family
and friendship matters. These two have a significant effect on my present life as
it will make my life today even better and happier. It is beneficial to my future
since if I study responsibly, I can be more successful.
