Jesus. These are teras,
dynamis, and semeion.

MIRACLES AS SIGNS OF

His words with many mighty
Works (dynamics) and acts
Of wonder (teras), all of which
were signs (semeion)
manifesting that the
 Kingdom was present in
Jesus and that Jesus was the
Promised Messiah.
The miracles that Jesus
performed can be seen
as signs of the
Kingdom of God action.
 Jesus’ miracles were
manifestation of His power
over all creation (nature
miracles), over sickness
(healing miracles), over evil
(exorcisms), and over death
(restoration to life).

1.Jesus performs
healing miracles.
We read how
Jesus relieved

the feeding of the five thousand; the
wedding at Cana; and the walking
on water.

occasions when Jesus brought
back to life those who had

widow’s son; the official’s
daughter; and Lazarus.
Miracles in Everyday Life
Jesus manifested the love of
the father by healing people
forgiving sins, and driving
away evil spirits. It was not
only kindness that led him
to perform such miracles
but love.
