There are many people in this world that work with agriculture in their everyday lives.
More than 1 billion pounds of food are consumed daily by the population just in America, which
does not even include other countries that farmers in the United States must produce food for.
What would our society be like today if we had not had establishments of farm equipment and
continuous growth in mass food production, with only 1.3% of the U.S. population being

According to License to Farm - Official Documentary, farmers today are still facing the
same challenges that the farmers in the past have faced. Those challenges consist of weather, soil
fertility, pests, and commodity prices. While they are still dealing with these issues the farms of
this era are dramatically different from the past. Farms today are large and complex enterprises
with lots of technology. Over the years there have also been many breakthroughs in
communications, genetics, and chemistry. Thanks to these breakthroughs we have been able to
grow our food faster with less energy and less environmental impact. Due to these achievements,

Based on information from the USDA, United States farmers have had a complicated

agriculture market in Ohio was at 8.3 billion dollars, the crop market exceeded 4.9 billion
dollars, and animal and animal products exceeded 3.4 billion dollars. That is a lot for Ohio when
compared to America.
The United States is considered number 1 in Agriculture production because of all the

In conclusion, the agricultural industry has had many improvements and achievements
