Mansfield Independent School District

605 E. Broad St.
Mansfield, TX 76063

Dear Hiring Manager,

Please accept this letter as an expression of my interest in the K-6 teaching position. With a track record of
initiative and dependability, I have devised strategic initiatives, which I believe will prove valuable to Mansfield
Independent School District. Throughout the course of my career, I have perfected my leadership and customer service
abilities. I work very well with others, and if I was given the opportunity, I could help students achieve their academic
goals.

My relevant qualifications include my bachelor’s in psychology, and my current candidacy with Tarleton State University
with their TMATE program. Most recently I worked as a Paraprofessional with Mansfield ISD. In this role, I helped
students with special needs, such as physical and mental disabilities. I supervised students in classrooms, halls,
cafeterias, school yards, or field trips. Most importantly, I presented subject matter to students under the direction and
guidance of teachers, using lectures, discussions, or supervised role-playing methods.

My educational background has given me a solid understanding of counseling. And my on-the-job training has given me
the opportunity to help others reach their goals. All of my skills and education combined would allow me to become a
great fit for this position.

Please take a moment to review my attached resume and credentials. I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to
speak with you regarding my candidacy.
Thank you for your consideration.

Sincerely,

Alexis Castillo
