Advocacy Message:
Thank you for taking the time to meet with me this afternoon. I'd want to speak with
you about why it's important to promote and vote yes to the support of Arts Education for All
Acts. The nonprofit arts and culture industry has a substantial economic influence in North
Carolina, generating $2.12 billion in revenue. Governor Kim Reynolds claims that investing
in the arts and culture improves the quality of life, and I agree. People will go by any means
necessary to witness the arts. Of the arts drive tourism, 64.6 percent indicated that the primary
purpose of their visit was to attend arts and cultural events. This clearly highlights the
importance of the arts in attracting visitors to a community. I support this act because arts
education is said to improve critical thinking, memory, and even mathematical skills. Arts
education is something that kids actively want to be a part of, and I believe it is critical to
advocate on their behalf. Arts education is valuable because it imparts knowledge, transforms
Arts Education for All Acts has personally aided me throughout my childhood and
adulthood. I've been involved with the arts for more than 19 years and continue to support it.
Arts education is a way of life, not just a thing to do. Participating in arts education has aided in
managed by myself, and my children are also participating. I am adamant in my belief that the
Arts Education for All Act is vital to our community. After speaking with a few of my students, I
discovered that Arts Education had aided them in staying out of trouble.
It has benefited them in coping with their emotions and learning how to comprehend and
express themselves in a positive and creative manner; it allows them to understand what they are
experiencing and use it constructively in their crafts rather than negatively. These stories, I feel,
are the reason why art education is still relevant today. Arts education has given me a sense of
