Reaction Paper to the movie “The Founder” (2016)

The 2016 film The Founder is jam-packed with useful business insights. It pulls back the
curtain and takes you behind the scenes to reveal the secrets of how Ray Kroc
transformed McDonald's into one of the world's largest fast food restaurants. Ray Kroc
was a poor salesperson who spent decades of his professional career selling milkshake
machines and paper cups before he discovered McDonald's. Then, in the 1950s, he
received a call from a distant restaurant ordering six of his milkshake multi-mixers. No
other restaurant had ever placed such a massive order. He wanted to go see for himself
because he was curious. That's when he met the restaurant's proprietors, the McDonald
brothers, Dick and Mac. Fast food restaurants used to take a long time to deliver your
order. When your order eventually arrives, it will not be exactly what you requested. Ray
was delighted by the brothers' quick meal preparation and serving system and advised
that they start a franchise. And it was the start of it all. He later took control of
McDonald's from the brothers, transforming it into a multibillion-dollar corporation. On
numerous instances, Ray Kroc was irritated. Things didn't always work out for him. He
didn't give up once, though. His revenue-generating and cost-cutting suggestions were
routinely denied or delayed as the McDonald's brothers' franchise agent. The contract
terms were also not in his favor, and he was onthe verge of going bankrupt and losing
his home. Rather than giving up, he put up with the irritation until he figured out a
method to take control of the company's terms and conditions. It's all too simple to give
in when faced with a difficult scenario. However, with the force of perseverance, you
can pave the way to success. In business, sentimentality has no place. Make good
transactions and make sure everything is written down. Ray was anxious to get the
show on the road at the start of the film, and he agreed to certain stipulations that
eventually limited his activities and yielded little profit for him. Fortunately, he was able
to amend the terms afterwards. When the brothers requested royalties when he bought
McDonald's, he offered a handshake deal. They were later denied those rights due to a
lack of proof that the contract actually took place. “Persistence is the only thing that can
replace it in this world. Nothing is more frequent than unsuccessful men with talent than
talent. Talent will not be rewarded; unrecognized genius is nearly a cliché. Education
will not help; the world is littered with educated fools. “Only perseverance and resolve
are all-powerful.”
