FINAL YEAR PROJECT PRESENTATION GUIDELINE & SCHEDULE
SEMESTER JAN 2022

1) OVERVIEW

1.1 This document is applicable for students of:


i. DIPLOMA OF ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY IN ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONICS (MARINE)
– DEEM;
ii. BACH. OF ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONICS ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY (MARINE) WITH
HONOURS - (BEEM);
enrolled into Final Year Project in Semester Jan 2022.

2) RESPONSIBILITIES

2.1 Student:

i. Communicate with the panel of assessors to get an agreement on the presentation


time, date, and day.
ii. Create a group in Microsoft Teams and add the panel of assessors to the group.
iii. Send a friendly reminder to the panel of assessors through WhatsApp Messenger or
any other suitable means of communication, prior to the presentation session.
iv. Record the presentation session at the beginning of the session.
v. Adhere to the allocated time for the presentation. The ideal time for the presentation
is 15 minutes and another 5 -10 minutes for a Q&A session.

2.2 Panel of Assessor:

i. Ensure that the presentation time, date, and day are agreed upon by both parties;
students and panel of assessors.
ii. Ensure that students adhere to the time allocated for the presentation and Q&A
session.
iii. Ensure that the online session is recorded for evidence purposes.
iv. Give essential comments and feedback to help students in improving their projects.
v. Rate the students’ performance wisely according to the rubrics and key in marks in the
link at SharePoint.

2.3 Supervisor:

i. Guide your students to manage their projects according to the schedule.


ii. Remind your students to communicate with the panel of assessors for setting up the
presentation session.

iii. Guide your students to prepare necessary input for each presentation.
iv. Get input from a panel of assessors (if available) with regards to the areas to be
improved for the projects.
v. Evaluate the students’ projects prudently according to the rubrics and key in marks in
e-CITIE as per timeline.

3) PRESENTATION SCHEDULE

3.1 There will be TWO presentation sessions planned for this Semester:
i. Progress Presentation 1: Between Week 8 – 9 (18 th – 29th April 2022).
ii. Final Presentation/ Made in MIMET: Week 14 or 15 (16 th – 27th April 2021).
3.2 For Progress Presentation 1, a session can be conducted online (Microsoft Teams).
3.3 For Final Presentation/ Made in MIMET, the details will be provided by the FYP Unit of
UniKL-MIMET.
3.4 Presentation schedule and panel of assessors list is as attached.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
Students are required to SUBMIT their final draft of FYP 1 report
which emphasized on Chapter 1 to Chapter 4 (Preliminary result
with discussion) to the respective SV.
