ALTERNATIVE COURSE ACTION

 There are few tourists due to the strict quarantine restrictions. Initially, there are
many requirements that you must meet before visiting tourist attractions, and
you must be quarantined for 14 days. People are staying at home instead of
traveling, and tourist destinations are losing sales due to a lack of customers.

 The travel bans, as well as the loss of jobs, goods, and services, are factors
affecting the loss of billions in Central Visayas. Central Visayas could have earned
$249 million, or roughly P12.5 billion, from the first three months of 2020, but it
was not discovered after strict quarantine measures were imposed in March. The
amount increased to $464.8 (P23 billion) in the second quarter after travel
restrictions were extended to nearly all international destinations.
Accommodation, eateries, buying stuff and sales, and native transportation were
the four tourism subsectors hardest hit by the coronavirus crisis. As per Neda
report, tourist accommodations lost around $99 million, guided by restaurants
($93 million), shopping and sales ($39 million), and native transportation ($17.5
million).

 The Department of Tourism, in collaboration with the Departments of Health,
Trade and Industry, and other government agencies, is working hard to ensure
that health guidelines are in place for safe transport in the face of the ongoing
threat of Covid-19. The healing process of the tourism sector will profit not only
hotel chains, resort towns, and fast food joints, but also micro, tiny, and medium-
sized businesses that provide services and support, such as ocean and land
transportation companies. will have a considerable effect on crops because
supply for his or her goods will raise once tourists recover.
