Research Questions and answers:

1. Briefly, explain what your research project is all about?

It was all about “The Political-Security Relations of the Philippines and the United Staes

of America during the Duterte Administration” There are no incentives for candidates to

differentiate themselves based on policies and programs. The solution here is to give voters

choices based on policies and programs and not just familiar names. In this way, they can hold

political parties accountable. For now, politicians cannot be held accountable for their failed

promises, as their policy positions are not clear. In this way, we need to move from an election

based on personalities to one based on political parties with unique policies and programs.

Because of this, we need to strengthen our political party system.

2. What is the significance of the study?

This study will be undertaken to find out the Political-Security Relations of the

Philippines and The United States of America During the Duterte Administration. Also, to

inform readers about the Political-Security Relations as a new strategy and instructional tool in

the Political system. This are for the Filipino Citizen, For our Country, For the Government,

and For the Staffs and Government Personnel.

3. What research methodology did you use?

Researchers will use the Quantitative Research design methodology to utilize research

methods to answer the research question. The descriptive research method will be used to

determine. On the other hand, the research method will have used to determine The Political-
Security Relations of the Philippines and The United States of America During the Duterte

Administration. Researchers will use the interview questionnaire method via google form because

they have proven it is relevant to this research to get the result of the study.

4.  In what way(s) does your research project contributes to knowledge?

By this study it contributes what President Rodrigo Duterte do during this times. Based

on our introduction it was said that President Rodrigo Duterte delivered his sixth of the last State

of the Nation Address (SONA) on July 26. This is Duterte's second hybrid SONA - there are

listeners in the hall of Batang Pambansa, and there are those who only join via video call. The

local transmission of the more infectious COVID-19 Delta variant is mid-noon, but 350 people

are still in the Legislature-seven times more than the number of physical audiences in 2020.

Amid the global pandemic and widespread uprisings on various continents against police

brutality and systematic racism, some states are reverting to old tactics of diverting attention

from government failure to suppressing competitor. This is particularly the case in the US and

the Philippines. One particular issue, however, is how the Trump administration condones

unconditional support in the name of foreign policy to Duterte’s abuses of power.

5. If you could change something regarding your study, what would it be?

The answer to this question can be gotten from the limitations of your study. You can give

answers such as:

- Given the constraints (like the short time frame for the research or lack of sufficient

funds) I was working with, this was what I was able to do but if I could do more, this is

what I would have done.

- In doing this I learned a problem with this kind of data collection. Next time, I will do

it this way.

Note: if a panelist asked something regarding your research just get an important part to your
research this is the usual question that panelist asks in research defense. (based only from my
research defense goodluck!)
