Our world is suffering in lock-down due to the Covid19 pandemic. As we struggle with
the mental health problems of this global crisis, we need to be ready and be courageous of what
this crisis can lead us to. This COVID-19 pandemic brought us in changes in how we can live
our life again and how we can make convince us to have a positive mindset that our lives will be
normal again against this crisis. Many of us worry about getting sick, how long the lockdown
and this pandemic will last, and what the future will bring to us. Many information, rumors, and
misinformation can lead our life to out of control of the things and make us confused about what
we need to do. During the ECQ, we cannot stop experiencing stress, anxiety, fear, sadness, and
mental health disorders, including depression, that can be worsened. It is hard to gain joy while
we are not in our good health, but this is the events of our lives are the most important times to
be in our optimism.
Experiencing stress is a normal reaction that may come to our life. People react
differently to the difficult situations that coming to their lives, and we can say that we can feel
stress and worry during a crisis because it is normal, and we cannot avoid this. But numerous
challenges coming to our life, including this COVID-19 pandemic, can lead us away in our
ability to cope with things. Some of us may have mental health problems, including symptoms of
anxiety and depression during this time. And our feelings can change anytime. Regardless of
trying our best to avoid this, we may feel helpless, sad, angry, anxious, or afraid. We can suffer
trouble concentrating on some things, not having our normal appetite, body pains, or having
abnormal body clock, or we can struggle to do our routine chores. When these last for a couple
of days, it can make us miserable and cause trouble in our daily life, and we will find it difficult
to return to our normal responsibilities. So, we need to consult or ask for help from experts.
Our mental health problems including depression or anxiety can lead to aggravating
symptoms. Having concerns or experiencing mental health symptoms, we can ask for help from
experts for them to check about how you are doing. We cannot avoid stress will not disappear
from our life when the pandemic ends. We need to have self-care during our mental health and
increase our ability to manage challenges that keep coming to our lives.
During this pandemic, we need to focus on other things that are in our control. We need
to know that it is important to check with others and yourself and taking the time to manage our
mental health needs. Sometimes, we do not feel providing help to others on how they can deal
with their distress for any reason, as well as your own anxiety or fear. Just be aware of our self-
care and always place in our mind that we cannot fill from someone else’s cup.
