Part 1: How well do you feel you manage your time (work, school, social)? What are some strategies you
use to effectively manage your time? What strategies could you use to better manage your time?
I think I managed my time very well in the beginning of the semester but when my health got out of
control it became increasingly difficult my grades dropped to B’s and work was becoming a lot more
stressful with the amount of people quitting but I did the best I could to balance everything. I always
volunteered at work to help more than required and because of the job I picked I got off work at 6 and
had plenty of time to study.
Part 2: Explain one time you managed your time well and one time you managed your time ineffectively.
What did you learn from each of those situations?
One time I managed my time well was the day before I had two big AP tests and smaller skills check I
stayed my normal time at work practiced softball for my showcase that weekend and got A’s on all three
tests. One time I managed my time poorly I went into work with a headache stayed until 6 then
proceeded to go to a baseball game for hours for a club and ended up with a migraine I missed the next
day of school and the next day of work. From that point I do my best to take care of myself so I don’t
have many mishaps like above and so I can capitalize on my number of healthy days and number of days
I am at work because at that point we were very low staffed, and every person counts.
Part 3: How do you spend your time at work (give examples of tasks and the amount of time you spend
on them)? How have do you manage your time at work in order to complete your duties and
responsibilities?
When I first come to work every day, I conduct roll call immediately so asp can be cleared, and
buses can leave. After this I hand out snacks and log each kid in attendance into the attendance
app. Once snack is done, we take about a 15-minute bathroom break while clean the room by
wiping down tables and vacuuming. I also make the schedule for the day. We always have three
stations one playing with toys (usually in the asp room), one either on the playground or gym,
and one in a computer lab. At 5:30 everyday every grade takes the remainder of their students
into the media center to watch a movie as the last station. Once the kids are gone, I charge my
walkie and log my hours into my time sheet.
