Part 1: How well do you feel you manage your time (work, school, social)? What are some strategies you
use to effectively manage your time? What strategies could you use to better manage your time?
I feel like I manage my time well. Since I do work at home, I have more flexibility with my
schedule, and I like that I can design a schedule that works for me. In terms of work, I would usually go
every Wednesday so I would have to finish my work on Tuesday night. This was difficult at times because
my teacher would schedule tests that were to be submitted Wednesday night, but I pushed through!
One strategy that really helped me with time management was writing everything I needed to get done
daily in a planner. This helped me keep track of my work because I saw how much I would need to get
done and I would time myself accordingly. This came extremely handy since I am taking two AP classes
and Accelerated pre calc. One strategy I could use is to set a bedtime, that way I have a certain time
period to get things done because I do like to stay up late but this is not a good habit!

Part 2: Explain one time you managed your time well and one time you managed your time ineffectively.
What did you learn from each of those situations?
Wednesday is our remediation day, so we have a lot of free time on that day. One Wednesday I
woke up early because I wanted to get a lot done early so, I could sleep early. I stayed focused by putting
my phone far away from me and staying on my work for longer periods of time. That day, I was able to
finish my work by the afternoon and I was free to do my own things for the rest of the day. It taught me
that if I remove all distractions and focus, I can get work done quickly. One Wednesday I wasn’t so
productive. I woke up and laid in my bed for awhile before getting up. Once I got up, I took my time and
eventually started work around 12. I was easily distracted, and I couldn’t finish everything I needed to till
that night. It was actually this day that motivated me to be productive that Wednesday I told you about
in the beginning!

Part 3: How do you spend your time at work (give examples of tasks and the amount of time you spend
on them)? How have do you manage your time at work in order to complete your duties and
responsibilities?
At work, I am an assistant nurse. In this capacity, I take call patients to the back where I check
their vitals. From there, I input the vitals into the system. To help the doctor and nurse practitioner out, I
go in the room and ask patient’s questions about their pain. I also sanitize the room when a patient
leaves and I sanitize the seat where I take vitals. When a patient is ready to leave, I schedule their
appointment through the Health Fusion system. When I’m doing paperwork, I scan documents and put
them in the patient’s profiles. Along with these documents, I upload patient’s drug profiles into the
system as well. In terms of managing my time, I do well. I’m always on my feet so it’s easy to get things
done. I work until my lunch break and then after lunch, I go back to work.
