FRAGMENTARY ORDER - Operation CAMPUS EXODUS
References:
1. Situation.
a. Area of Interest. Colorado State University
b. Area of Operations: MSA/Johnson Hall
1. Terrain: Urban terrain.
2. Weather: Winter and Spring afternoons have the chance for precipitation
as well as temperatures ranging from the sixties to the negative teens. Inside Areas are
heated and will provide ample warmth.
c. Enemy Forces. None.
d. Friendly Forces: *
1. Higher Headquarters Mission and Intent 1 Level Up: No Change
e. Civilian Considerations: CSU Police Department ( 970-491-6425) and Fort
Collins Police Department (970-221-6540) will provide law enforcement and emergency
services in the area as needed. There will be CSU students and faculty in the area of
interest.
f. Attachments and Detachments: UNC is integrated.
2. Mission: Ram Battalion conducts gear return lab NLT 08APR21 IOT check
battalion’s equipment for cleanliness and serviceability. (Taylor’s Mission
Statement, she will add later)
3. Execution:
1. Commander’s Intent.
a. Purpose: To return all issued gear for all MSIs and select MSIIs
(returning MSIIs who are contracted will take their gear home, MSIIs not returning or not
contracted will turn theirs in.), to check MSIIIs CST gear, and to take the Battalion
photo.
b. Key tasks:
1. All MSIs (regardless of contracting status), will turn in their gear
after being inventoried.
2. All MSIIs will have their gear inventoried. MSIIs not returning to
the program and MSIIs who are returning but not contracted will turn in their gear.
3. MSIIls will be inventoried for their CST gear and shown how to
properly pack it.
4. MSIVs will check and ensure all equipment is present, clean, and
serviceable.

MSIV. The MSVI should give these to Forsyth.
e. Phase III B- After the MSIIIs are done being checked, they should
repack all of their equipment and then move their gear to the outside perimeter of their
respective corners.
f. Phase IV A- The MSIs and IIs will arrive at Johnson Hall 222 and
find their respective platoon locations then lay out their gear as indicated by ANNEX B.
Once again, MSIVs (Bode, Oglesby, Roberson, Masi, Thompson, DeBarris, Hernandez
E, and Campbell) will check each piece of equipment. If a MSI or MSII is missing a
piece of equipment, they need to fill out a yellow slip and give to their MSIV who gives it
to Forsyth.
g. Phase IV B- MSIIs who are contracted will then push their gear to
the outside perimeter of Johnson Hall along with the MSIII gear. All MSIs, regardless of
contracting status, will be turning in their gear. Rahl, Jurgens, Hernandez J, and Hees
will then need to have the MSIs and MSIIs file into alphabetical order (first the MSIs in
alphabetical order then the MSIIs in alphabetical order) and bring them over to the MSA,
making sure to rigorously keep them 6 feet apart.
h. Phase IV C- At the MSA, the MSIs will put their equipment in room
103 (MSI classroom) and the MSIIs will put their equipment in room 111 (MSIII
classroom) with the ruck behind the duffle bag, and the duffle bag’s name tag sticking
out. After they have dropped gear, all MSIs and MSIIs will return to Johnson’s Hall.
i. Phase V A- Once all MSIs and MSIIs have returned to Johnson
Hall, the Battalion will stage, maintaining 6 feet apart) inside Johnson Hall for the photo
(avoiding the Administrative Office). * More to follow on whether we’re even going to
take the photo.
j. Phase V B- All cadets with a yellow slip will go home, retrieve their
piece of missing equipment and return to Johnson Hall. The cadet’s squad leader, PL,
and PSG will be staying until they return and have the yellow slip resolved.
k. Phase V C- While waiting for cadets with yellow slips to return,
MSIIIs and MSIVs will put all the tables and chair back to original seating arrangement
in Johnson Hall. Surfaces are sanitized. Cadets (without a yellow slip or part of the
chain of command for someone with a yellow slip) may go home.
l. Phase V D- Supply detail will return white boards, clipboards,
markers to the back of the MSA then be released.
