and procedures for the inspection, witnessing and monitoring of quality. The Company’s Quality
requirements are covered in Schedule “Q” of this Contract.
Program
Prior to release, the Company’s Project Manager or designee will approve any proposed verbal
or written public statements prepared by the Contractor and/or its Subcontractor(s). The
Contractor is responsible for the safety, environmental, health, security and confidentiality
during the execution of the Contract. Company’s minimum requirements are described in the

DESIGN MIX
a) A new concrete mix design shall be submitted to the Quality Group for approval
at least 30 working days prior to start of concrete Work, using Appendices 1, 2 &
3 of this standard. Mix proportioning shall be in accordance with the applicable
American Concrete Institute Guide.
b) A new mix design is required when a proposed mix has no established record
indicating that it meets all the requirements of applicable standards or
specifications. It is also required if there is a change in type, source or quantity
of the constituent parts of a previously approved mix design.
c) New mix design shall be supported by successful full-scale plant trials performed
and certified by a Project-approved independent testing laboratory. The Vendor
shall notify the Quality Group in writing at least 7 working days prior to
conducting a plant trial. Witnessing a plant trial is at the sole option of the Quality
Group who reserves the right to monitor any or all phases of Work required to
prepare concrete mix design.
e) Blending and proportioning data including test records by the independent testing
laboratory shall be made available upon Company request.
f) The approved mix design shall be assigned a unique Mix Identification (ID)
Number, which shall be indicated in Appendix 2, "Concrete Mix Design Data
Sheet". An approved mix design ID number that has become void or obsolete
due to change of ingredient or any other reason shall not be re-used.
g) Where the concrete batch plant and the concrete mix designs are approved on
one-time basis for a specific Unit and Contractor, new review and approval are
required for other Contractors.
a) Upon the completion of a successful trial batch (plant trial), the Vendor is
required to fill out the Concrete Mix Design Data Sheets (Appendices 2 & 3) of
this procedure and submit them to the Quality Group for approval. The concrete
Vendor shall maintain the original records of approved mix designs.
Excavation, fill, backfill and finished grading shall be to the lines and grades
shown on the drawings and as required for the installation of facilities on this contract.
Remove all trees, brush and other vegetation and dispose of before starting
excavation.
COMPACTION CONTROL
The Contractor shall arrange field compaction audit tests not less than those
specified below. Field compaction tests shall be performed by an Owner approved
independent testing laboratory. More frequent tests may be conducted at the discretion
of the Owner’s Representative.
The Contractor is responsible for grading to all elevations as shown on the detailed
drawings.
FABRICATOR-SELECTED CONNECTIONS
SCAFFOLDING INSTALLATION
AVECS is responsible for overall construction activities ensuring that all method that the quality
of work, and safety procedures are implemented at the project site. Supervise closely, the
activities designated and ensure that all instructions and safety procedures are followed and
strictly adhered to and carried out in a safe manner.
The Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) officer generally plan, coordinate and implement
issues and directives within the organization. Ensures safe environmental working conditions for
all employees and workers.
Foreman shall ensure and make regular check of erected scaffolds and advise working
scaffolders are conforming to site safety regulations set by the HSE officer. HSE officer will
inspect all the scaffold materials ensuring that all the tubing and fittings are free of corrosion and
in good condition.
During or after concrete pour, the formwork must remain stable (both vertically and laterally).
All formwork tasks will be carried out according to the specifications during reinforced concrete
construction. If necessary, the Project Engineer will consult the Structural Engineer regarding
the size, type, and the number of formwork to be used in accordance with the structural
drawings. The number of repetitions will be determined by the program.
During the fabrication of shutters, all dimensions should be cross-checked to avoid having to
make corrections during the erection process. Make sure that the props, shores, waling,
bearers, clamps, and tie rods are the right size and at the right spacing. The Formwork designer
shall check the falsework system with respect to the loads imposed on it and design
parameters, as specified in the specifications. Make sure the concrete form is securely braced
and on a stable foundation during construction.
Excavated and/or imported material used as backfill shall meet the following
requirements.
Imported material shall be clean, unfrozen soil which is free from ice,
snow, lumps, roots, loam, debris, organics, foreign or deleterious material, or rocks
with a dimension greater than 75 mm (3 inches).
AVECS quality assurance supervisor will carried out the work. It starts with best practices in the
preparation of the mix at the batch plant, proper placement that avoids segregation, minimal
working of the plastic concrete, allowing the surface to “bleed” off excess moisture after
screeding and before finishing, avoiding steel trowels, prohibiting the addition of water to the
and timely methods (compound sprays if necessary) to immediately foster good curing.
Proper mix design, proper mixing and delivery, maintaining the target water/cement ratio, good
finishing practices. For guarantee of the quality of the concrete. AVECS will deploy Pre-mixed
concrete to all structural components of this project.
