(Teaching grammar)

Grammar in Part 2, Lesson 1

I. OBJECTIVES:

After the lesson, the students will be accquainted to the Present Continuous Tense
and its application in speech. To use this tense for the expression of meaning, the
context of action must be happening in the exact period of time or actions that are
planned to be happening in the near future.

II. LANGUAGE FOCUS:


Grammar: S + tobe + V(ing) + clause

III. PREPARATION:
Slide with pictures and audio of PowerPoint, worksheets (handout) and
homeworks.

To warm up and review the lesson:
 Picking Out Actions Game: Students will be given a picture of
an office with people having different actions.
Procedure and rules:
Warmup and  1. Students will be divided into groups and each group will take

 2. Each correct answer will get bonus points.
 When the game’s finished, the group with most answers will
win and be rewarded.
