I have not always enjoyed working with children but since the birth of my niece, she has

warmed my heart. I love her and I find it so interesting in seeing her reach her milestones.

This month she is going to be 4 years old and loves exploring the world. I would love to

learn more about children from ages 4 - 8 years of age. In addition, teaching children

from ages 4 to 10 years old is the age range that I would like to teach them. I also, believe

that in this age range they are learning the foundation of academic education and I would

love to be their teacher to help them in this crucial time. I emanated this thought in my

first semester when I was observing a 4th grade teacher who was awesome. She would

repeatedly say “teaching is a job that you need to love to keep going every day” and I am

a 1,001% that I am in love with teaching. In conclusion it was my niece and the field

observation in my first semester that concluded my thoughts in teach children from ages

4-10 years of age.
