Classroom Layout Question 1: Describe the workflow of the room. Is the space used
efficiently? >>>

I believe that the classroom is being used efficiently with the space available to Mrs. Glaza.
She has placed a routine with her students to follow unless told otherwise. The student come in
grab their white boards that are next the front door and start working on the problem provided.
That is in the morning when students work on math and later the on the other side of the wall is
their binders used for writing in the afternoon. Since Mrs. Glaza has her students for 30
minutes or less, she uses her time efficiently. The seating arrangement is well spread out and
each desk are placed facing each other. This make is easy to see each student working and
writing because according to Mrs. Glaza there are kids that will sit staring at their paper for
over 5 minutes doing nothing.

Classroom Layout Question 2: In your opinion, how can the physical arrangement of the room
be improved? >>>

In my opinion I believe Mrs. Glaza classroom arrangement is set up in the most effective
manner. Her students are used to the routine they come in grab their white boards that are next
to the front door. This way once they come in the students start working on their problem that
is on the board, using her time efficiently. Mrs. Glaza seating arrangement is place so she can
see every student from the side, so she can make sure they are on task. The only change that I
might include is removing the kidney table to the side of the classroom and bring forward the
student’s desk closer to the white board.
