ASSIGNMENT 7 (Summary): Thoroughly summarize and reflect upon your entire 10 hour Field

Observation Placement.

In the beginning I was nervous in entering a classroom for the first time since high school. I

have not attended a class in person at CSN and last year my observation was virtually. I am

thankful to have observed Mrs. Glaza, the information she shared was advanced from where I

am currently in my education that I felt a bit embarrassed and saddened to not have known

what to ask when she would say “Do you have any questions?”. However, this experience was

an eye opener I was able to see for myself how a resource room manages. In this observation

my drive to become a teacher increased through the roof and seeing the impact Mrs. Glaza has

on her students with a learning disability inspired me tremendously. I have made a discission

to change majors to special education. When I was in the classroom I and seeing the students

have trouble understanding the material it was as if I saw myself in that chair because I went

through something similar. I was in ELL when I was in elementary and can relate to that mind

block that some of these students have it is only a matter of being patience and putting in work

to break that wall brick by brick. I am very thankful to have been able to enter a resource room

and to have been able to have observed Mrs. Glaza.
