Puerto Colombia
PARAGRAPH #1:
Over the years, there have been many changes and improvements to the beaches of
Puerto Colombia. However, there is still a huge problem of pollution. The Villa
Campestre neighborhood had a problem that lasted for many years, unfortunately
there was no adequate place to play sports and where children could play safely,
additionally the streets of this area were not lighted. Due to this problem, those who
lived in this sector were affected. People who wanted to go running in the
neighborhood early in the day and also late at night did not have the appropriate
place or security since the area was isolated and dark.
PARAGRAPH #2:
Parque de Villa Campestre has changed exceptionally, before being remodeled, in
this area there was only a roundabout and a few lights. In 2018 the project began to
be executed, they installed several light poles, leaving a very illuminated area at night.
Near the roundabout, they built two small parks and a mini-soccer field, and a route
around it so that people were able to run. Since that time this park has been used by
people who live in the neighborhood for recreation for their children, to exercise and
share with the family. It has been a great positive change.
PARAGRAPH #3:
The problem that existed in this place due to the poor lighting and poor security since
it was a very isolated area, caused many robberies to the habitants of the
neighborhood. People couldn't work out too early or too late because they were
exposed to danger, and the children didn't have a nearby park where they could play.
The construction of the park and the installation of light poles was the solution to all of
the problems. Since the streets are more illuminated, which makes it safer, now
children can play and adults can walk more calmly in the sector because they feel
safer.
PARAGRAPH #4:
In this area we could exercise, such as doing Rumba therapy, cycling, basketball and
mini soccer games. All ages could participate- both children and adults. What it would
do is encourage people to participate in sports activities to maintain a healthy lifestyle,
in addition, they could also have fun and share as a family. We can conclude that in
areas where there are these types of problems, as the ones that existed in the Villa
Campestre neighborhood, the government should keep an eye on these cases in order
to improve the situation. Since these problems affect many people, solving them
would help the people who live in the neighborhood to be calmer, happier, and
without worries.
