CHAPTER 1
THE PROBLEM AND IT’S SETTING

BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY

INTRODUCTION
The researcher will be conduct a research about what does
the effect of low financial to the senior high school
students of Mount Carmel School of Maria Aurora, Aurora.
Financial Problem is very much a big problem in our life
especially when it comes on education. There’s a lot of
money needed. Money is very important because you can buy
anything you need if you have money. Like to buy School
supplies, payments and any others expenses in school. Even
if you are a scholar student you still need money for some
projects and payments. If you don’t have money you can’t buy
anything and that is the biggest problem in every school.
That’s why a lot of students stop to go to school. The
researcher choose this topic financial problem because some
of the senior high school students of Mount Carmel School of
Maria Aurora Aurora are experiencing the poverty. Including
lacks of financial, Every student are experience the poverty
and they are needed to sacrifice to stop their studies and
get source of income and they need to work for the family.In
this kind of topic “The effect of low financial to the
senior high school students of Mount Carmel School of Maria
Aurora, Aurora”. Is a problem that issue to the students in
senior high. Other student don’t have money to pay tuition,
and other need to pay like photocopy, books, test paper and
etc. Also some student will not continue to study.

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

To determine the Effect of low financial to the Senior
High School students of Mount Carmel School of Maria Aurora.
Refer to use as a references in every subject for the school
year 2020-2021.
Specially, This research bought to answer the
following questions:
1.) What are the effects of financial problems to
students?
2.) How does financial problems affect students
performance?
3.) Do you think that financial problem can affect
your studies?

SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY

This Research will be beneficial to the follows:

Students - This research will help to create a spending plan
to solve and prevent financial problems.
Teachers - They will find easier ways to help students.
Parents - It will help them to solve the financial problem.
Future Researchers - They will expand the scope and to
solve the financial shortage.

Conceptual Framework

The figure shows the conceptual framework of the study. In

this framework the independent variable is the low financial
status. The dependent variables are the academic performance
and mental and physical health.

1.This study gives knowledge about how students will
overcome low financial while studying. And gives information
that some students still graduated because of their
motivation even they had low financial.
Null Hypothesis
2. In this study some factors on having low financial may
can’t relate to those rich students. Students who have low
financial sometimes don’t finish their studies because of
poverty.

DEFINITION OF TERMS
Financial- Pertaining to monetary receipts and expenditures
pertaining or relating to money matters pecuniary.

Students- A person formally engaged in learning, especially

one enrolled in a school or college.

Parents- The person who raising a child or children from

babyhood to adulthood, in an environment of nurturance,
support, encouragement, direction, guidance and love.

Education- The act or process of imparting or acquiring

general knowledge, developing the powers of reasoning and
judgement, and generally of preparing oneself or others
intellectually for mature life.

FOREIGN LITERATURE
Choudaha, (2015) and tended to heavily recruit students who
were able to pay the cost of earning their degree abroad in
full without any financial assistance. Bordoloi, (2015) this
came in form of struggling with loss of professional
identify in international students. Koto et al. (2015) found
international students who were not granted scholarships
were more likely to suffer from depression which suggested
their financial condition affected their health-related
quality of life. Banjong (2015) also found when
international students did not handle stress due to
financial issues successfully. Akanwa, (2015) this could be
through working with other departments throughout the
institutions to see what service they can provides.

FOREIGN STUDIES
Dang and Bulus (2015) concluded that school composition in
terms of boarding or day school may not directly influence
enrolment but the level of infrastructural provision in the
schools will affect. Anisiudo (2015) revealed that the
average cost of students.Mngomezulu, Dhunpath and Munro,
(2017) Even though the cost constraints in education based
on their findings are related to problems of low or less
optimal student academic achievement. Burek (2015) 1 in 3 of
the students feels that their parents do not provide enough
financial support for them. Kono et al.(2015)found the
international who were not granted scholarships were more
likely to suffer from depression which suggested their
financial condition affected their health-related quality of
life.

LOCAL LITERATURE
Yugoslav Journal of Operations Research (2019) we propose a
new matching problem for combinational optimization in
financial markets. Mathematical Analysis and Applications

Accounting, Auditing & Accountability Journal, (2018) the
purpose of this paper is to obtain new knowledge about the
accounting measurement of financial sustainability in local
governments, by studying the influence of political factors
on the evolution of income statements. Journal of Public
Budgeting, & Financial Management, (2020) the financial
resilience of local authorities has been a serious concern
over the past decade due to austerity and its effects on
local government budgets despite rising service demands. The
Journal of Developing Areas (2017) studies on local
government financial conditions are focused on developing
tools for detecting and avoiding potential financial
problems. The American Review of Public Administration
(2018) various studies have analyzed the relationship
between fiscal stress and contracting out, but have failed
to achieve conclusive results. International Public

strategic tool in local governments (LGs) and several
studies have investigated this delicate issue.
