ROCKWELL™

Product Category Insecticide, Certified Organic

Formulation Type Emulsifiable Concentrate (EC)
Application Foliar & Drip (Drenching)
Main Target Pest Mealy Bug
Active Ingredient (a.i) Capsicum Oleoresin & Cinnamon Oil
Mode of action The spray ruptures the waxy coating and hence the formulation penetrates in to the
pest body leading to highly effective control of the pest. First the female is killed, which is
on the top of the leaf(covering the offspring), these offspring are then taken care off.
Special Precaution Soil treatment along with foliar application is a must for effective control.

Crops like cotton, the growing parts are attacked, resulting in bunchy growth. Plants are stunted
and produce fewer bolls of a smaller size. Boll opening is adversely affected and yield reduction
occurs. In grapevines, the mealybug feeds on sprouts after pruning; heavily infested bunches
shrivel and drop. In peanut, the mealybug can feed on the underground parts of the roots, pods,
and pegs of the plant, resulting in stunted growth and poorly developed pods. In Flowering plants
mealybug usually infests young twigs, causing deformed terminal growth due to shortening of
the internodes, deformed leaves and thickened twigs.
Compatibility May be tank mixed with commonly used fungicides and insecticides
Recommendation 350 -400 ml / acre ; by a consequent sprays, after 5-6 days will take care of new off springs.

Soil application of 8-10 kg Nematimax per hectare to control eggs laid in the soil is also
advocated as a long term control measure. (or drench mixture of Rockwell @ 2 ml /L water near
root zone)

The formulation should not be mixed with other chemical pesticides or growth promoter
formulations.
Main crops Cotton, okra, grape, Peanut, hibiscus, and all other field and horticultural crops/ flowering plants
Main customer • Control of this minor pest turning epidemic in past couple of years is highly difficult task as
benefits the females lay eggs in the sack like structure about 8 – 15 cm deep in to the soil. Further,
the insect develops a pink waxy pouch like coating covering the entire body. As a result of
this morphology the sprayed chemicals are unable to penetrate through the pores making
the spray a failure.
• Prevents appearance of sooty mould leading to fungal infestation.
• Soil drenching kills the eggs laid in soil while, foliar spray makes the pest immobile and later
causes death by rupturing the body coat.
Prevents premature dropping of flowers and fruits and facilities normal crop yield.
