Unforgettable all of members or students whom I love
Ladies and gentlemen
First of all, let’s pray and thank unto our god “Allah SWT” who has been giving us mercies
and blessing, so we can attend and gather the meeting in this place in good condition and
happy situation.
Secondly may Shalawat and Salam always be given to our prophet “Muhammad SAW”. The
last messenger of Allah who has been guiding us from the Jahiliyah era to the Islamiyah era,
namely Islam religion to the better future life. Standing in front of you all, I would like to
deliver my speech under the title is …
DEMOGRAPHIC BONUS
Demographic bonus is a condition where there is more population of productive age than
those who are non-productive and it only happens once in the history of a nation. Indonesia
will experience the peak of the demographic bonus between 2028 – 2031, and has already
started in 2012.
At that time, the number of productive age groups (aged 15-64 years) exceeded those of the
unproductive age group (children aged 14 years and under and parents age 65 and over). So,
the age group of children is getting smaller, as well as the older age group.
This momentum is certainly a strategic opportunity for Indonesia to accelerate economic
development, with the support of the availability of human resources of productive age in
significant numbers. But on the other hand, the demographic bonus can be a disaster if it is
not prepared properly, one of which is unemployment.
Ladies and gentlemen
What is unemployment?
Unemployment is a term for people who do not work at all, are looking for work, or someone
who is trying to get a decent job. many high school and college graduates who are still
unemployed threaten the sustainability of the demographic bonus.
In this case, the most realistic policy in job creation is to encourage and motivate all
graduates to create their own jobs. This policy must be a priority, supported by all parties,
especially educational institutions, so that schools and universities are no longer labeled as
unemployed factories.
For this, schools can start with career guidance since first grade students of junior high
school, continue to high school. For about 11 years, students and college students were
guided to plan their careers so that there was a picture in the search for life support after
graduating from school or college regardless of major and faculty. This policy or approach
will also prevent graduates from being confused and disoriented, because the career paths
they are involved in have been well planned.
For that there needs to be subjects or career planning courses. And it could be that this career
planning lesson is the most needed of the other main lessons that it turns out that in the end
after school or college is finished, it is not remembered.
With this approach, students are no longer only ready to use but most importantly ready to be
independent, and Indonesia can pass the demographic bonus as a big opportunity, not a
disaster.
Ladies and gentlemen
Thank you very much for your kind attention, I hope you can catch my explanation and may
Allah always bless us wherever and whenever.

Amin
The last I say
Wassalamu`alaikum. Wr. Wb.
