Activity Description Result

Develop a computer I created a network as
network that has: per picture it includes:
● at least three ● Monitor
network users ● Workstation
● Users sharing at ● Keyboard
least five folders and ● Mouse
at least seven files. Problems that I
encountered was that
the monitor would not
turn on when it was
being set up this
problem got resolved
by replacing the
monitor for another
one.
Another issue that I
ran into was that the
computer was having
difficulties connecting
to the Internet the
issue got fixed by
making sure that the
ethernet cable was in
the right way and was
properly plugged into
the computer.
When it came to
testing the network I
tested to make sure
that the connection to
the network was
working and wasn't
having any connection
problems.

users this? I did this by
making 3 users i gave
one of the users
administration which
is the kevin2.0
account
When I was setting
passwords for the
accounts they were
hard to remember
since the PC would
not allow me to put
something i could
remember this caused
an issue with the
Kevin account which
means we could not
access the account
this issue was fixed by
adding another
account called kevin
2.0 we then gave this
account administrator
and deleted the other
Kevin account we had
on the network.
Users sharing at least Describe how you did
five folders and at this? I made 5 folders
least seven files for each user. I did
this by making the
different folders user1,
user 2, user 3, user 4 ,
user 5 this is what I
did on the computer.
User documents For this activity i made
some documents for
the users to access
the documents have
been shared with the
users
I tested this by
sharing the document
to the users by
making sure that the
document user is on
the documents shared
list this is how I tested
this by checking all
the users on the
network have access
to the documents on
the network I made.
Access permissions For this i gave the
users different access
permissions such as
being able to read the
document each user
has different access
to the folder.
 Connecting the printer For this part of the
to the computer practica i connected
the computer to the
printer so that if any of
the documents need
printing by the user
they can do that since
the printer is
connected

When it comes to the improvements of the network for the users I will allow data
compression this will allow the users to modify the data if the data is too big then the users
can shrink the data allowing it to take up less space this will allow the users to re-encode the
information using fewer bits than the original.
I will also do regular updates to the network as well this will make the network more flexible it
will also give the network more computing power as well as storage space to the network as
well this
also gives the network more efficient hardware which means the hardware is less likely to
fail.
Another thing I will do to improve the user experience of my network is to have monitoring
tools this is to keep track of the status of the system this is so that failures to the equipment
of the network can be detected this is done by giving a warning to let let me know the
problem that maybe causing the network failure it will also tell me how to improve the
problem of the network so that a similar issue with the network doesn't happen again.
These improvements are what I will do to give better user experience when it comes to users
using my network.
