Arvelo where she spoke about the myths and realities that exist around vaping and electronic
cigarettes. She also talked about the importance of caring for health and knowing the long-term
effects of our lifestyle. Finally, Dr. Soto provided information on support networks and reasons to

vaping (MYTH)

know and support the decision
C. Discard all vaping products
D. Identify barriers we may face when quitting vaping
E. Look for support networks, such as from health programs and family

CLOSING

I highly enjoyed the information provided in the conference. I learned a lot and will be
sharing the acquired valuable information. Nevertheless, I noticed that data and information on
cannabis vaping is missing. Dr. Soto agreed that research in that direction is needed now that
medical cannabis is booming on the island.
