the other pupil completing picture A. Number pupils 1 and 2. Tell
number 1 to start describing. Give them 8 minutes and then tell
number 2 to start as soon as number 1 finishes. Put a timer on the
IWB of 16 minutes and tell any 1s to stop if they are still speaking after
8minutes. Elicit the kind of instructions they need to give, e.g. ‘Draw a
shell on the beach. Colour it blue.’
 At the end they can compare their pictures to see if they did a good job
too.
