Hello Monkey: Before the lesson, hide Monkey inside a clean and empty cloth bag.
Ask the class to come and sit down on the mat.
BEGINNING Look into my bag and say ooh look!
Let a monkey leg show out of the top.
Bring out the monkey puppet and say hello!
Invite the class to join in and say hello!
The say stand up to sing the hello song.
Say Hello with the Pocket Poster: make sure the pocket poster in hung up where

Take out the flashcard of monkey, saying hello to encourage to students to join in.
Then put the monkey flashcard in the first pocket on the pocket poster. To repeat the
order of the characters.
Flashcard Game: Sit in a circle holding the two character flashcards and the Monkey
Puppet. Play the Hello Song and pass the Rocket flashcard around the circle to the music.
When it arrives back with you, hold it and say Hello Rocket. Invite the class to wave the
Rocket.
Repeat the procedure with the Star flashcard and then with the Monkey Puppet.

Go to your tables: Ask the children to stand up where they are. Begin clapping in
time to the following rhyme, encouraging the children to join in with the
DEVELOPMENT clapping.
Class book activity: hold up class book activity. Point the Rocket, Star, Melody
and Twig and name each one.
Mime looking for monkey and say where`s monkey? Encourage students to point

to monkey on Rocket`s bag, etc.
Encourage them to draw a pencil line joining the front view and the back view of
each character.
Checking the activity: hold up the class book activity page again pointing where
the character that mention repeating for all.
Say very good! And well done!

Tidy up time: if there are books and pencils to tidy up, play the tidy up song while
ENDING the children help you tidy things away.
Bye bye time: say it`s time to say bye bye!. Hold up the flashcards of Rocket and
Star or point to the flashcards in the Pocket Poster. Play the Bye Bye Song waving
to the characters and encouraging the children to join in doing the actions.

ACTIVITY TO HOME (HOMEWORK):

Give activity to do at home working on their workbooks to practice the class of the day and we will continue the next
class to performance their learnings.
