Sizing* done for 2 year desludging interval period:

- Tank size of 5.1 M(L) x 3M (W) x 2.4M ( Depth with 300 mm minimum free board however pipe connection invert
level to be checked )
- Baffle / Partition Wall to be provided to devide the volume 2/3 rd on inlet side and 1/3 rd on the effluent outlet
side.
- 150 mm pipe sleeve or 150 x 150 mm cutout to be provided in baffle wall to seggregate the scum in the centre
area 300 mm below the tank water level.
- Depth of tank shall be suitable increased considering the invert level of incoming soil/sewage pipe connection.

Notes*:-
1) Above dimensions are clear inside dimension with required freeboard. It is to be noted that wall thickness, slab
thickness and bottom raft thickness shall be additional as per structural design.
2) Considering that building foundations are already completes, feasible excavation depth for the tank at site to
be checked with structural designer.
3) Additioal space of minimum 3 mtrs x 3 mtrs. shall be required for soak pit.
