Introduction

With this work we seek to show what we learned during the first and second unit showing an
important place , known , and that could represent a local problem.
This oral presentation will help us develop our communication skills in English with comparative
iso and superlatives, intensifiers, modal verbs, among others.

HISTORY
This park was founded in 1940, formerly known as Plaza Mayor, was a place of concentration of
indigenous civilizations led by the cacique Xamundí. This park is named in honor of the civilians
of this place who fought in the liberated campaign of independence with the battle of bajo
palacé in 1811.

CHARACTERISTICS
• Has a colonial style.
• Is surrounded by greenery .
• Count with lamps that give light to the place.
• Has large spaces for adults and children to have a good time.
• In the middle of the park we can find a large statue in honor of the cacique
Xamundí.
• Around this park we can find various entertainment sites.

ACTIVITIES TO DO

Enjoy a cholado : Its preparation is on a base of scraped ice, fruits are added, melados of
different flavors and condensed milk.
Play Chess : You can enjoy watching old people playing chess in the afternoons
, Visit the house of culture : to hear children sing and play instruments
Enjoy the agrimarket: from entrepreneurs and farmers of the rural and urban area of the
municipality, with a large gastronomic and productive environment.

HOW TO GET TO JAMUNDI CENTRAL PARK?

From the portal de jamundi you go straight along the circunvalar avenue until you reach the la
casita bakery, turn right onto the street 11 go straight and then turn left onto avenue 6a and
continue straight, after you turn right on street 10 and you keep walking straight until you see
the park

In front of the park is the parish church "Nuestra señora del rosario ",and the House of Culture,
next to the park is the “Jamundi plaza “ mall and some drugstores , around there are some
cafes ,there are clothing stores and there is a school.

THE PROBLEMS:
One of the main problems of the park on the one hand is the abandonment of the current
government and on the other hand the people who make use of this park do not use the
garbage cans and throw the garbage to the ground or to the water channels , giving a bad
appearance to the park and bad smell

THE SOLUTIONS:
 1. The residents of this area must express their discontent and demand that the good
condition of the park be a priority. In this way their voices will be heard and the government will
take action.
2. People must be made aware of the fact that both the people and the government are to
blame for the bad condition of this party. Either with signs, warnings, placing trash cans on every
corner, with the cleaning equipment that the government must provide to keep it clean.
Everyone has to help.
