-(Cebuano: Amihang dabaw; tagalog: Hilagang davao) Is a
province in the philippines located in the davao Region in
Mindanao. It’s Capital and largest city is Tagum. The province
also includes Samal Island to the south in the Davao Gulf. Davao
del norte is primarily an agricultural province. No wonder it is
hailed as the Banana Capital of the Philippines, with many
plantations run by multinationals and local producers. However,
the province also boasts of its vast array of tourist attractions.To
all beach bums and those who love adventure, explore the great
diving sites and fine beaches of Island Garden City of Samal. with
the fast infrastracture development in its capital city, tagum, MICE
and sports tourism is also becoming popular in the province.
DAVAO DEL NORTE IS ALSO KNOWN AS
“THE BANANA CAPITAL OF THE PHILIPPINES.”
Davao Gulf, to the south of the province, provides a living
for many fishermen. some of the fish products include
brackish,water milkfish,tilapia,shrimp and crab, and
freshwater catfish and tilapia.

Davao del norte is a major producer of gold. Small-scale


gold mining activities thrive in several areas. There are also
numerous active quarries of commercial quantities of
gravel,sand,and pebbles for construction.

Commerce is also part of the economy of Davao del norte.


there are lot of shopping malls in Tagum.
Tourism is also major part of the
economy of Davao del norte. there are
lot of beaches on Samal Island, the
most famous of which is Pearl farm
beach resort. Banana beach resort is
the most famous beach outside of
Samal Island.
Davao del norte had a population of
1,125,057 in the 2020 census. the
population density was 297/km2 (768/sq
mi).

The main languages spoken are Cebuano


and Davawenyo. English and Filipino are
widely spoken.

to see them flying out of the cave or resting upside- down.
Hagimit falls is on of Davao Del Norte tourist spots Hagimit
falls maybe not be that high but it does project an enchanting
allure. It cascades for about 20 feet like a long curtain. It has
a wide and deep pool where you can jump or dive and have
a rejuvenating swim.
Lush forests surrounds the waterfall, adding to the
scenic view. It’s one of the popular Davao Del Norte
tourist spots.

KINILAW
Kinilaw is a popular seafood dish in Davao City. The dish is typically made from
fresh, raw Tuna or Swordfish (Malasugi) marinated in vinegar and citrus juices
such as lemon or lime, spiced with chili peppers (siling labuyo) and seasoned
with ginger, onion, and salt.
SINUGLAW
Sinuglaw is a contraction of
the words, Sinugba (Grilled)
and kinilaw. It is a combination
of fresh Tuna or Malasugi and
grilled pork marinated in
vinegar and citrus juices such

SUTOKIL

Sutokil is a contraction of the words, Sinugba (grilled)


and kinilaw. It is a combination of (fresh Tuna or
Malasugi and grilled pork marinated in vinegar) , and is
very popular combination of dishes in Davao City.

Davao del Sur (Cebuano: Habagatang Dabaw; Tagalog:
Timog Davao) is a province in the Philippines located in the
Davao Region in Mindanao. Its capital is Digos City. Davao
City is the largest city in terms of area and population within
the province's jurisdiction, yet it is administratively
independent of the province; as such, Davao City is only
grouped for geographical and statistical purposes.

The province is bounded by Davao del Norte to the north,


Davao Occidental to the south-east, North Cotabato and
Sultan Kudarat to the west, South Cotabato and Sarangani
to the south-west, and the Davao Gulf to the east.
The beginnings of both Davao Region and Davao del Sur
were associated with the foundation of Davao, which was the
first town to be founded in southern Mindanao in 1848,
following the conquest of the area by José Uyanguren of the
Basque province of Gipuzkoa, Spain (Guipúzcoa in Spanish).
In 1849, Nueva Guipúzcoa province was founded in the region
conquered by Uyanguren in what is now Davao Region, with
Davao, then called Nueva Vergara, as the provincial capital.
Uyanguren became the provincial governor, but he failed in
his efforts to develop Nueva Guipúzcoa.
The province is composed of sandy beaches
and outlying islands, agricultural plains and
valleys, rainforests, swamps, rolling hills and
mountains, including the Philippines' highest
peak, Mount Apo, which is at 2,954 metres
(9,692 ft) above sea level.

Davao del Sur is home to a host of ethnic groups
whose culture and way of life have been preserved.
These are the Bagobos, the Mandayas, the
Mansakas, the Atas, the Kalagans, the Tagakaolos,
and the Mangguangans. Their arts and crafts are on
display in museums and shops.
1. MOUNT APO
Mount Apo, also known locally as Apo
1!. Sandawa, is a large solfataric, dormant
stratovolcano on the island of Mindanao,
Philippines. With an elevation of 2,954
meters (9,692 ft) above sea level, it is the
highest-mountain in the Philippine
Archipelago and 24th-highest peak of an
island on Earth. Located between Davao
City and Davao del Sur in the Davao
Region, and Cotabato in Soccsksargen,
Mount Apo is the most-prominent mountain
in the Philippines. The peak overlooks from
Davao City 45 kilometers (28 mi) to the
northeast, Digos 25 kilometers (16 mi) to the
southeast, and Kidapawan 20 kilometers (12
mi) to the west. It is a protected area and a
Natural Park of the Philippines.[8]
2. KIPILAS FALLS
Kipilas Falls is located some distance from the Sitio Paraiso
proper of Barangay Lorega, Kitaotao; along the Davao-Bukidnon
National Highway. It measures 45 meters in height and 2.5
meters in width, and has a discharge of approximately 3.0 cubic
meters per second.
3. PEOPLE’S PARK DAVAO

Davao People’s Park is one of the most expensive parks in


the Philippines. It is one of the cleanest and greenest parks
in the country and dubbed as the “best park in the
Philippines” as well. Entrance to the People’s Park of Davao
is free. The Durian Dome is one of the highlights of the park.
The Kadayawan Festival is an annual festival in the city of Davao
in the Philippines.

The festival is a celebration of life, a thanksgiving for the gifts of


nature, the wealth of culture, the bounties of harvest and serenity
of living. Previously,[2][better source needed] this festival held in
the third week of August every year which was highlighting the 11
tribes of Davao City. In 2019, the celebration was extended and
held from 2 to 31 August. In 2020, Kadayawan Festival was
celebrated from 10 to 17 August

Davao Oriental (Cebuano: Sidlakang Dabaw; Tagalog:
Silangang Davao) is a province in the Philippines located in the
Davao Region in Mindanao. Its capital is Mati, and it borders
the province of Davao de Oro to the west, and Agusan del Sur
and Surigao del Sur to the north. The province is the traditional
homeland of the Mandaya and Kalagan/Kaagan.

Davao Oriental is the easternmost province in the country with


Pusan Point in the municipality of Caraga as the easternmost
location. The Philippine Sea, part of the Pacific Ocean, faces
Davao Oriental to the east. Part of the province lies on an
unnamed peninsula that encloses the Davao Gulf to the west.
The province is the top producer of coconut
and copra in the country, earning the province
the title Coconut Capital of the
Philippines.[1][2] It is also home to Mount
Hamiguitan Wildlife Sanctuary, a UNESCO
World Heritage Site. The present territory of
Davao Oriental was covered by the historical
region of Caraga, which was under the
Sultanate of Maguindanao.

Davao Oriental Province is inhabited by about five indigenous
tribes as mentioned above, like the mandaya, mansaka,
manubo, tagacaulo, calagan. There is a tri-pod of the faith of
the Mandayas: God (called the Tagallang, Magbabaya,
Mansilatan), Nature, and Man.
1. ALIWAGWAG FALLS

It contains the headwaters of


the Cateel River in the
southern Diuata Mountain
Range which provides the
water source and irrigation for
surrounding rice fields and
communities in Davao de Oro
and Davao Oriental
provinces. It was named after
the remote rural village in the
municipality of Cateel where
Aliwagwag Falls, the
country's highest waterfall, is
located.

3. MOUNT HAIGUITAN

The Mount Hamiguitan Range Wildlife Sanctuary provides a


sanctuary to a host of globally threatened and endemic flora
and fauna species, eight of which are found nowhere else
except Mount Hamiguitan. These include critically
endangered trees, plants and the iconic Philippine Eagle
and Philippine Cockatoo.
