1. Different Transportation of Softwares/Programs

- TRANSCAD
- EMME
- Aimsun.Next
- PTV Visum
- PTV Vissim
- Cube Voyager
- TransModeler
- TRANSMIS
- TSIS-CORSIM
- SUMO
2. Microscopic Models in Transportation
- Traffic Software Integrated System – Corridor Simulation (TSIS-CORSIM) – it is a traffic
operations analysis tool that uses an integrated modeling environment. TSIS is a toolbox
that allows users to build and manage traffic analysis projects, model traffic networks,
prepare inputs for traffic simulation analysis, run traffic simulation, and understand the
results of those models, all using a component architecture.
CORSIM is a microscopic traffic simulation that can mimic surface streets, freeways,
highways, and integrated networks, as well as segments, weaves, merge/diverges, and
intersections with stop/yield signs and traffic signals. It uses research-backed and well-
established vehicle and driver behavior models to simulate traffic and traffic management
systems.
- Simulation of Urban Mobility (SUMO) - Modeling of intermodal traffic networks, comprising
road cars, public transportation, and pedestrians, is possible with SUMO. A multitude of
supporting tools are included with SUMO, including route finding, visualization, network
import, and emission computation. Custom models can be added to SUMO, and the
simulation can be controlled remotely using a variety of APIs.

3. Macroscopic Models in Transportation

- CUBE Voyager - it takes a current pulse on the transportation system, forecasts the state for
the next generation, and advises you on how to improve it from now to the future.

- TRANSIMS - it is a regional transportation planning system that uses an activity-based and

integrated system of trip predictions and microscopic simulation models. It employs a novel
approach to modeling individual travelers on a microscopic network, which distinguishes it
from typical 4-step travel demand forecasting models in terms of underlying concepts and
structure.
4. Mesoscopic Model in Transportation
- TransCAD - It is the first and only Geographic Information System (GIS) created exclusively
for the storage, display, management, and analysis of transportation data by transportation
experts. TransCAD is the only product that integrates GIS and transportation modeling skills
in a single integrated platform, giving it features that no other package can match.

- EMME - it is a comprehensive transportation forecasting system for urban, regional, and

national people movement planning.
- Aimsun.next - it is a modeling tool with multiple resolutions and modes.
Simulate mobility at any size, from entire regions to cities, zones, and subnetworks, and all
the way down to individual roadways, corridors, and junctions.

- PTV Visum – it is the only professional transport modeling program that depicts the public
transportation system in great detail. PTV Visum gives you a holistic perspective of your
plans, allowing you to make educated decisions every time, from investing in new lines and
stations to changing timetables and fleet capacity.
- PTV Vissim – it can be used to accurately model road traffic in cities and freeways around
the world, as well as design effective traffic management solutions to help alleviate traffic
problems.
