EFFECTS OF POWDERED GUAVA LEAVES TO THE BOILING POINT


OF PURE WATER
School Year 2021-2022
I. Objectives:
To determine the effects of powdered guava leaves mixing with pure water.
To determine if the powdered guava leaves will have changes to the boiling point of
pure water.
To determine the boiling point of powdered guava leaves with water to boiling point
of pure water.

II. Materials:
 Powdered Guava Leaves 20g
 Water
 2 Beaker 500ml
 2 Bunsen Burners
 2 Tripod Stand
 2 Thermometer
 2 Wire Gauze
 2 Thermometer
 Stirring Rods
 Protective Equipment
 Timer

III. Procedures:

Step by Step Procedures Illustration


Prepare the 2 500ml beakers, and
label it, A & B.

Fill the A & B beaker with 250ml of


water.
Add the 20g powdered guava leaves
to the beaker B and mix it with
stirring rod.

Put the A & B beaker on the top of


wire gauze, tripod and Bunsen
burner.

After setting it, place the


thermometer, turn on the Bunsen
burner and start the timer. Watch it
until it reaches the boiling point.
