CULMINATING ACTIVITY (FRONT PAGE✅)

Quote:

“Life is a journey, not a destination.”

—Ralph Waldo Emerson

Preface:

“As for me, the senior high school years could be considered a stepping stone for a student who
aspires to achieve their goals, such as me. That is why I am overjoyed to be a part of a strand that
will teach me so much about my humanities and social science interests and loves. Through
HUMSS and its contents, my admiration for writing, literature, culture, society, and even
governance grew significantly. It greatly helps me in a variety of ways that play a significant role in
determining my future career path. That is why I am so eager to produce this portfolio, which will
serve as a gesture of my gratitude.

This portfolio intends to showcase my achievements in each topic area in order to highlight the
journey of a humanities and social sciences student. It contains artifacts, data, and information
pertaining to the HUMSS strand. Each subject area has its own reflection, which shows my
perspective on the activities I completed previously. Brief narratives were also provided to inform
the readers about the memorabilia provided. Readers will benefit immensely from this book
since each component has been thoroughly evaluated. Furthermore, I hope that this work will
motivate and inform future HUMSS students about the content they will encounter.”

CULMINATING ACTIVITY (ABOUT✅)

About the Author: Gyd Pearl Ann Maniquez is a 17-year-old senior high school student. She took
the strand in Humanities and Social Sciences at Pantukan National High School, where she also
spent her junior years. The author’s hobbies include reading novels and short stories. She also
enjoys writing poems to share her previous experiences and express her expectations for the
future.
About the cover: The book is entitled "Gunita". It is a Tagalog word that is translated as
"Memories". The author thought of it as a suitable title since the book consists of the journey of
a HUMSS student. Under the word "Gunita", the particular word is still written in Baybayin, an
ancient writing script in the Philippines. Meanwhile, the design of the cover was inspired by the
novels Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo, both written by Dr. Jose Rizal. The author aims to
produce the book with a vintage theme. It is due to the author’s great admiration for Philippine
literature that it was inspired by the books from past centuries.

CULMINATING ACTIVITY (IWRBS)

* Personal Religious Belief

As a person who is a member of the Roman Catholic church, I value religion very much. I consider
it a community where I could feel a sense of belonging due to the same beliefs that we have.
Furthermore, I do believe that it is the major contributor to our faith in God and serves as a way
to strengthen our relationship with Him. As I grew up, I did realize that I am more of a God-
fearing person than a religious one, but I still have respect for the traditions and I still participate
in them as well. Moreover, no matter what religion we belong to, we should respect each other
and understand our complexities. We should also remember that the goal of religion is for us to
worship Him rather than to break our bonds with the people on the other side.

* Reflective Learning Sheet

* Parallel Assessment

* Brief description about the artifact

The artifacts provided depict the experiences of a Humanities and Social Sciences student
throughout the subject Introduction to World Religion and Belief Systems. The reflective learning
sheets serve as an assessment of what we’ve learned from a certain subject. It consists of several
questions that aim to assess our learning and our own perspectives with regards to religion as
well. Meanwhile, the output/parallel assessments are the tests we go through as a student
studying the subject. Those parallel assessments/outputs are usually submitted after receiving
modules that consist of a series of topics wherein we could learn lessons from.

* Brief narrative

Studying the subject "Introduction to World Religion and Belief Systems" was quite fun and
challenging at the same time. It was fun because while I made those artifacts, I got to discover
several things, not just about my religion but with others as well. I also didn’t have a hard time
compiling the sheets from different modules since I have all of them saved in a file. Meanwhile,
during the creation of the reflective learning sheets, I was having a bit of a hard time compiling
the sheets. This was due to some of the problems that arose during the making, one of which
was the shortage of ink for the printer, which was very much needed for the production.
However, the problems were solved immediately and the artifacts provided on the previous page
were the product of my determination.

* Learning Goals

1.1. Give an example of a belief system or a

worldview

Communicate her* understanding of her

religion

___

* Refers to all genders

1.2. Differentiate religion from:

a. Spirituality

b. Theology

c. Philosophy of Religion

Differentiate between religion as humans’ way

to God, theology as a study of God’s way to

humans and philosophy as a reflection of

humans’ lived experience of God

1.3. Infer that:

a. A belief system or worldview is a

particular way of ordering the realities

of one’s world.

b. Religion is the pursuit of

transformation guided by a sacred

belief system.

c. Spirituality is one’s integrative view of

life. It involves a quest for the

meaning and ultimate value of life as

opposed to an instrumentalist or

materialistic attitude to life.

The elements of religion are: (a) reflects an

effort to elevate their whole self to a higher

* Reflection about attachments

Growing up, some of us were exposed to several religious groups and participated in some of
them as well. We have seen some of their beliefs and traditions, but when I was in Grade 11, I
realized that it is much more than that. Throughout the first semester, the subject Introduction to
World Religion and Belief Systems made us discover more about religions and somewhat enabled
me to experience their beliefs.

The tasks allowed us students to be aware that religion is not just a group of people gathering
together. Though we are individuals, if we become a member of a religious group, we all have
one goal, and that is to strengthen our faith in Him. The tasks that I participated in with regard to
the subject really helped numerous people in a lot of ways, especially in molding one’s
personality. It assists us in discovering many different practices in other religions, some of which
we might agree with and some we might not agree with. Before I encountered this subject, I was
unaware of some of the religions mentioned, but I'm much more grateful to learn more about
the religion I’m familiar with, Christianity. Aside from that, through all the knowledge I have
learned, I feel that I now have a better understanding of my faith.

I have become humble in the conclusion now that I have a better understanding of others'
beliefs. I've learned about religions other than my own, and each has its own way of worshiping.
the time to learn about the different religions of the world has helped me to understand what
others believe. Learning about others' beliefs will help me recognize the way they dress, act, and
respond.

CULMINATING ACTIVITY (DISS✅)

* Feature interested life story

* Apo Whang-od

* At 102 years old, Whang-Od Oggay (who also goes by Whang-od or Maria Oggay) is helping to
keep an ancient tradition alive in the Kalinga province of the Philippines. She’s the country’s
oldest mambabatok, a traditional Kalinga tattooist. Whang-od started tattooing at the age of 15,
and she has been tattooing for the past 80 years. Traditionally, only men with special tattooing
ancestry were allowed to learn the art. Whang-od was an exception due to her talent and
potential as seen by her father.

* She has been doing the batok, the traditional hand-tapped tattoo, on male headhunters who
earn the tattoos by protecting villages or killing enemies. She also tattoos women of the Butbut
people in Buscalan, Kalinga, primarily for aesthetic purposes.As a traditional Kalinga tattooist, or
mambabatok, she has done fortune-telling and chants while doing tattoos.

Whang-Od’s tattoo

* Whang-od’s tribal tattoo ink is made up of charcoal and water. Once mixed, it is tapped into the
skin using a thorn from a citrus tree—either from calamansi or pomelo. The thorn is then
attached to a 12-inch long bamboo stick, and from there, Whang-od will start tapping it deep into
your skin. She has sample designs so that you can choose which design you’d like. The locals or
your tour guide will then gently relay your request to Whang-od, and from there she will start
tapping your desired design. Getting inked by Whang-od takes some courage, as the session can
be painful, depending on your body’s tolerance.

Achievements

* Some netizens were campaigning for her to be given the National Living Treasures Award
instead. In 2015, then Senator Miriam Defensor Santiago urged her colleagues in the Philippine
Senate through a resolution that Whang-od should be nominated as one of the National Living
Treasures (GAMABA or Gawad Manlilikha ng Bayan in Tagalog), who are of equal rank to National
Artists.

* Whang-od was formally nominated for the National Living Treasures Award during the 66th
Manila Fame event on October 21, 2017. The nomination was accepted by the NCCA through a
ceremony within the event. NCCA is finalizing the documents to confer Whang-od and have the
Philippine President sign them.

* On February 28, 2018, the Senate of the Philippines unanimously passed a resolution
supporting and nominating Whang-od for the GAMABA. On June 12, 2018, the National
Commission for Culture and the Arts announced that the prestigious Dangal ng Haraya Award will
be given to Whang-od on June 25 at Tabuk, Kalinga, the capital of Whang-od's home province.
The final stages of the GAMABA (National Living Treasures Award) Committee is still ongoing.

Exercise 6.2: Do Virtual Ethnography

Title of the show: Kapuso Mo Jessica Soho (KMJS)

Program Host: Jessica Soho

Individual involve: Bagyong Yolanda survivors and staffs of the program

Stories and events: Kapuso Mo Jessica Soho traveled to Tacloban following Bagyong Yolanda.
They featured the victims' stories and inquired as to whether or not they had survived, and the
victims also shared their experiences. Here are some of the stories that were shared by the
victims when Jessica did an interview.

•A mother who lost her child and husband and used the program to reach out to some of her
relatives.
• A boarding house owner saved a hundred people by allowing them to stay when the typhoon
hit because his building was the only one left standing.

• A woman stayed in a jeepney without any clothes or other necessities. She also told the host
that they needed water, food, and medicine.

•A father of four children lost his two children, and one of them is missing after the tragedy.

• One survivor shared his experience that he floated for two consecutive hours in the flood.

• The survivors are usually reaching out to there families outside Tacloban and told them that
they survived.

• The crew of the program roamed around to show the casualties caused by typhoon Yolanda.

Typhoon Haiyan, also known as Super Typhoon Yolanda, hit the Philippines on November 8, 2013
and took the lives of 6,000 people. It was all over the news at the time, and national television
was a huge help, especially in terms of donations and survivors reaching out to their families.

One of GMA 7's most well-known shows, Kapuso Mo Jessica Soho, was one of the shows that
featured the hardships of those affected by the Super Typhoon.

After typhoon Yolanda occurred in Tacloban, the crew of Kapuso Mo Jessica Soho immediately
went to the area. They did an interview to show the aftermath of Typhoon Yolanda to the public
and also to give awareness to the relatives of the victims and survivors. According to the
survivors, they‘ve been through a lot of hardships when Bagyong Yolanda started, and sharing
those things could get the media‘s sympathy. With the help of the media, they received a lot of
donations and communicated with their loved ones.

* Description of the artifact

It features an interesting life story of Apo Whang-od, providing a sneak peak of their culture. The
text shows the life of Apo Whang-Od from the moment she started being a mambabatok up until
she became known. In the latter part, her achievements as an artist were also shown, and that
included being acknowledged by the personalities from various sectors.

The certain task requires the students to feature a certain program in which social science is
utilized to address a certain issue. A series of events were mentioned in the virtual ethnography,
highlighting the circumstances brought by the typhoon. The response coming from the staff of
the TV show Kapuso Mo Jessica Soho (KMJS) shows the importance of social science concepts,
particularly ethnography. Interviewing and asking questions is a person’s way of gathering data
for a certain issue.

* Brief narrative

Meanwhile, the creation of the task isn’t that hard since references can be found in various
media outlets. The visual representation was also done through searching for the videos of the
interview on the internet. In terms of production of the hard copy, problems did not arise while
doing it, which made it a lot easier.

* Learning Goals

1. determine how Social Science can be used

to address social concerns

2. recognize multidisciplinarity and/or

interdisciplinarity as an approach to

looking at society
3. generate an analysis of a social

phenomenon using at least two

approaches from the Social Sciences

* Reflective

Learning about disciplines and ideas in the social sciences is quite a fun ride. Though there are a
lot of contexts, disciplines, and perspectives, it’s still great to learn more about our society. I also
realized how important our role is and that we should be responsible enough for our society to
develop. We can apply the perspective of social science in these situations as well. One of those
is structural functionalism, which promotes solidarity and stability that suit the topic in the
artifact.

The task, on the other hand, made me realize that there are several situations in our society
wherein the residents are the cause and they also suffer the effects. This indicates that we should
be held accountable for our actions. The media, government, and people from different regions
also played an important role in helping the victims get off their feet. It was done through
interactions between the media and victims of Typhoon Yolanda. In addition, the stories of each
survivor exhibit how social science can be correlated to their situation and its importance.

In conclusion, the task enables us students to determine the driving forces that contribute to the
issues in our society. In that way, the students could apply the disciplines in the Social Sciences.
We can also apply it in some real-life situations so that we can somehow contribute to fostering
society. The subject leads us to deepen our interest in analyzing social issues through applying
scientific approaches.

CULMINATING ACTIVITY (CNF)

* Autobiography

I’m Gyd Pearl Ann Maniquez, 17 years of age and live in Cadayona, Kingking, Pantukan. I was born
on July 31, 2004 in Jose Pabella, Makati. In our home, I’m with my parents and two older
brothers. That is why I feel very protected when I am around them.
Unlike other people, I don’t have that many hobbies, especially the ones that involve outdoor
activities. I like listening to music since it somewhat describes our emotions. That is why I usually
put my headset on. I‘m also into watching movies, and my favorite one since I was young would
be Taken. Speaking of my childhood, it revolves around a simple neighborhood in Looban. I had
many friends and tried many street games with them. Years later, we moved to Cadayona and
made numerous friends since I have neighbors who are also my classmates. I could say that I had
a very great time during my younger years, even at school, because my classmates became my
very close friends. They say that I have a bubbly personality and that they also love my humor.

When it comes to my future career, I usually had several questions and plans until it turned out
that I am indecisive. It was my senior years that made me realize many things about myself. It
includes the activities I’m interested in and things I’m passionate about. Aside from school, my
family and friends also contributed to my personal development, which is why I am grateful to
them. The encouragement I got throughout the years helped me to become a courageous lady
who is ready to take on full throttle to achieve her goals in the future.

Many interesting things have happened in my life ever since I was young. I am much more than
grateful that I got to experience those things, thanks to my family, friends, teachers, and
colleagues.

* Resume

* Application letter

* Parallel Assessment

* Description

Some of the information provided in the autobiography, resumé, and application letter is about
me.

The first photo is the first parallel assessment

that consists of twenty (20) items. The coverage of the assessment includes literary elements and
identifying which type of literary technique each item belongs to. Meanwhile, the second and last
photos are outputs for Module 6. We were asked to revise a story entitled "Sapay Koma" by
Jhoanna Lynn Cruz. The last part of the story was changed, so instead of having a tragic ending,
the characters had a happy ending.

* Brief narrative

While creating the attachments, I didn’t encounter too many difficulties since the time is enough.
I’ve also easily come up with the ideas to ensure that the output fits the given criteria. The
template for the resumé and application letter is also edited on a website.

* Learning Goals

6. Peer-edit each other’s draft based on

a. clarity of ideas

b. appropriate choice of literary

elements

c. appropriate use of the elements

d. effective combination of the ideas

and the chosen literary elements

7. revise the draft of a short piece using

multiple elements conventionally

identified with the literary genres

* Reflection

In grade school, I learned the difference between fiction and non-fiction. I know their features as
well, which make them different from each other. Aside from that, I do have that much
knowledge with regards to literary techniques and elements. But, ever since I encountered the
subject of creative non-fiction I found out that there are gaps in my knowledge about those
topics that need to be filled.

Creating the autobiography, resumé, and application letter enables me to discover the elements
and techniques of creative non-fiction. I also identify the importance of those tasks in various
fields, especially when it comes to choosing our future career. Meanwhile, revising a story
enables me to discover the elements that should be considered when making the piece. It might
be a complex process of writing, but we’ll surely produce a quality piece if we’re familiar enough
with the techniques and skillful enough to apply them. Revision allows us to think outside of the
box and add creative details to rearrange the text.

In conclusion, in this particular subject, the use of literary techniques and literary elements is
used in order to have a touch of creativity in the texts based on true accounts. Creative non-
fiction highlights the importance of elements used in literary pieces. It makes the text more
interesting and engaging for the readers and enhances their vicarious experiences.

CULMINATING ACTIVITY (DIASS)

* Picture and article of career guidance

* Photos of good personality

* Parallel Assessment

* Description of artifact

The students were assigned to interview a career guidance advocate or a counselor. I asked the
counselor, Mrs. Deliza Duterte Concillado, a few questions. Those questions include her
knowledge of counseling and perspective with regards to the counseling system in the
Philippines. It is quite easy to reach out to her since she spent some time visiting our house for
the interview. The counselor decided to write down her answers since she’s more comfortable
with it.

The picture that is attached shows the way I acted in the interview with Mrs. Concillado. I am
confident that the interview went very well and I acted politely while asking questions. It was a
face-to-face interaction, so I made sure that I observed health protocols as well.

The pictures show the screenshots of the 1st parallel assessment and the 3rd parallel assessment
that we took. Meanwhile, the third picture is an output for Module 4. I stated a problem that is
visible in my community and could possibly be solved by social workers. Before creating the
performance task, I observed society for a while and chose an issue that needs immediate action.

* Learning goals

1. show understanding of the roles and

functions of counselors

2. value rights, responsibilities, and

accountabilities

3. describe the clientele and audience of

counseling

4. identify the settings in which

counselors are found

5. illustrate the different processes and

methods involved in undertaking

counseling
————

1. describe the clientele and audience of

social work

2. distinguish the needs of individuals,

groups, organizations and communities.

3. identify the settings in which social

workers are found

4. illustrate the different processes and

methods involved in undertaking social

work

* Reflection

Disciplines & Ideas in Applied Social Sciences (DIASS) serves as an eye opener for me. The subject
taught us the importance of dealing with general social problems. Moreover, it encourages us
students to deepen our interest when it comes to issues. DIASS gives us a helping hand in
discovering the factors that may lead to the emergence of social phenomena. I applied that
knowledge through complying with the tasks that were given in the previous modules.

An interview with the counselor made me realize the importance of the particular career. I didn’t
have that much knowledge about counseling. That’s why their goals and purposes felt really new
to me. Furthermore, hearing the counselor’s point of view with regards to counseling in the
Philippines indicates how much our country values the field. On the other hand, I realized that
social work is very much needed to solve societal problems. What I like the most about the
profession is that it has the goal of empowering people. It meets the needs of vulnerable and
oppressed individuals or groups.
To conclude, there’s a lot more to life in our society than interacting with other individuals. In
order for us to discover those aspects, we should be observant enough. We must be aware of the
social issues to apply scientific approaches. In that way, we could take minor steps until we could
totally eradicate the problem.

•Script making: One Act Play

The battle of life

Characters:

Edmund- The intellectual leader of the north

Peter- Edmund’s fearless son

Charity- The loving wife of Edmund and Peter’s mother

Scene 1: The family’s mansion

(Edmund enters the room)

Charity: What happened?

Edmund: Nothing.

Charity: Really? The madness is visible on your face.

Edmund: It’s just that everything isn’t going according to our plans.

Charity: Did something went wrong?

Edmund: The butler told me a while ago that the south is preparing for a war.

Charity: They will attack our territory?

Edmund: You’re right.

Charity: I guess it’s time for you to change your plan.

Edmund: I will surely change my plans.

(The husband looked upstairs)

Edmund: Where’s Peter?

Charity: He’s in his room.

Edmund: What is he doing there?

Charity: Writing some stories.

Edmund: You should call him and tell him about our current situation.

Charity: I think it’s not a good idea.

Edmund: Well, I think it is a good idea.

(Charity began to raise her voice)

Charity: Peter is too young for him to be involve in that kind of matter.

Edmund: You should start them young.

Charity: No, Peter is staying in his room no matter what happens.

Edmund: He’s my son, I should be the one to decide!

Charity: You don’t understand it, Edmund.

Edmund: I understand it, Charity. My decision is for the sake of our family,

For the sake of Peter.

Charity: It’s for your own sake and Peter is my son too.

I also have the right to decide what’s best for him.

Edmund: Peter should learn these things at an early age since he will be the next leader.

Charity: You know that Peter don’t want to be The North’s leader, right?

Your son wants to be an author.

(Peter arrived and immediately went to his parents current location)

Peter: What is going on in here?

Charity Nothing. You should go back to your room and finish writing your stories.

Edmund: Peter, I’ll ask you something and you should answer it honestly.

Charity: Edmund, stop with these nonsense!

Peter: What is it, father?

Edmund: Do you really want to become an author?

Peter: Yes. It is my dream to become a famous author.

Edmund: Alright. You should stop that dream of yours.

Peter: Why? Is there something wrong with it?

Edmund: Nothing but you’re the next leader of our group so you should learn more about
protecting our territory and its people.

Peter: Father, I don’t want to be North’s leader. I‘ve thought about it for hundreds of times. It’s
not that I’m not worthy of the position but it’s not what I’m dreaming of.

(Tears began to fell off Charity’s eyes)

Charity: That‘s enough, Edmund.

Edmund: Peter, you‘re too young to make decisions like that.

You should not convince your son to be involve in that kind of things, Charity.

Charity: You really want your son to be just like you.

You were forced to take the position as the leader of the North and now you’re doing it to your
son even if it’s against his will.

Edmund: That was before. I‘m glad I became a leader and I will be more grateful if our son will
decide to take over in the near future.

Charity: So you don’t really support his decisions.

Edmund: I don’t and it will not change.

Charity: I guess it‘s best for us to go separate ways.

(The fear flashed in Peter’s eyes when he heard his mother’s statement)
Peter: Mother!

Charity: Go to your room Peter and start packing your things.

Edmund: If that‘s what you want then leave. You will not bring my son with you, he will be staying
here.

Peter: Do you really want me to be happy?

Charity: Yes of course.

Peter: Then the two of you should stop fighting in front of me. You’re doing it over and over again
and I’m so sick of it.

(Peter immediately went to his room while wiping the tears on his face. Meanwhile, Charity went
to her room to pack her things as well as Peter’s)

Edmund: Charity, do you really want your son to spend the rest of his life without a father?

Charity: He do have a father but all this time he does not really feel your presence and besides
you’re such an abusive husband.

Edmund: I’m doing all of this because of him and it’s a father’s duty to correct the mistakes of his
child.

Charity: I’m done with this conversation, Edmund. I will bring Peter with me for I can raise him on
my own.

Edmund: I hope you will not regret your decisions.

Charity: I won’t

(Their son Peter went downstairs after crying himself out)

Charity: Come here, Peter.

Peter: Goodbye, Father.

Edmund: Farewell, Peter.

(The rain is pouring really hard when Charity and her son went outside
Peter: Mother?

Charity: Yes son?

Peter: Are you really sure about your decision?

Charity: I’m certain about it.

Peter: It’s alright if father don’t want me to become an author. By the way, can I ask you
something?

Charity: What is it?

Peter: Is it true that father has been hurting you all this time?

Charity: Yes but I will not let any of that happen again.

Peter: I sincerely apologize, mother.

Charity: For what?

Peter: For not protecting you against father and for letting you stay in an abusive relationship.

Charity: You should not blame yourself. None of those was your fault and it’s all in the past. We
will start another chapter of our life again and the two of us will be happier than ever.

* Reflection

Writing poetry, fiction, and creative non-fiction was definitely one of the great experiences during
my senior years. It involves not only writing but reading as well, wherein we are asked to read
texts and pieces and identify their elements. The course enables us to develop practical and
creative skills when it comes to writing, even in a variety of genres. That is why we’re able to
produce our outputs with creative details applied.

My skills in writing were fostered by crafting the short stories, poems, and script for a one-act
play. The poetry piece that I made wasn’t perfect, but I’m glad that I shared my Christmas
experience in a creative way. I was able to address the message of the literary piece to the
readers. As the author of the short story, it feels really great to be able to put a twist on the
finale. It may cause dissatisfaction from the audience, but it will give them an entirely new vision
as well.

Overall, creative writing enables us to develop the sense of written craftsmanship in the form of
artistic expression. I was able to think outside of the box to convey meaning through the use of
imagery, narrative, and drama. Hence, I can use these skills and forms to turn any piece of writing
into a creative one. Furthermore, it is important for me to nurture and consolidate my ability to
be a creative writer in the future.

CULMINATING ACTIVITY (TCNCT21CC✅)

* Kind of future

When I was young, I always wanted to be very wealthy and have the nicest things in the world.
But, that perspective suddenly changed when I started entering adolescence. I’ve realized that
there are a lot of more important things than those things I’ve dreamt of having before. That is
why, in the future, I want to be a successful person in the medical field and spend a lot more time
with my family. I also think that going to my dream destination, such as countries in Europe and
North America, with my family would be enough for me.

I want not just myself but the people around me as well to be genuinely happy and to keep
believing in him. Even though many of my family and friends, including me, will be successful in
the future, I hope that we’ll always humble ourselves. Furthermore, I want this kind of future
because I think it would genuinely make me happy. It is because I’ve always wanted to have a
decent job and work hard for my family. Since I chose to become a nurse, I also decided that I
would proceed and become a doctor someday.

The kind of future that I want may be hard to attain, and circumstances can be encountered while
I’m on my way there. There is still a lot of time, problems that may pass, and I still have a lot to
surpass. But, I do believe that with me being passionate and having the courage to try, nothing is
impossible while achieving that goal.

Trends, Networks, and Critical Thinking in the 21st Century allow us to understand current and
emerging trends. It allows us to build and analyze situations that will test our ability to formulate
distinct challenges, provide solutions, and recommend new features. The subject guides us
through individual learning activities at our own pace.

Sharing the kind of future, we want for ourselves can be considered as a way of encouraging
ourselves to achieve our goals. It is important that we know what we want and discover the
things we’re interested in. While doing a certain task, I realized that to get what we want, being
optimistic isn’t enough but working hard will definitely help us. Meanwhile, writing an essay
about global warming helps us discover that we play a major role in solving environmental
problems. We didn’t realize it, but our daily activities could have a great impact on global
warming. That is why letting us share our plans somewhat encourages us to contribute to this
issue.

Finally, the subject not only addresses new trends in the twenty-first century but also the
challenges that accompany them.

It helps us improve our critical and creative thinking abilities. If we keep up with trends, we

'll be continuously learning about new tools, new events to attend, and new ways to be efficient.
This will provide us with a greater variety of things to work with, allowing us to experiment with
more things and produce new ideas.
