Philippine COVID-19 Vaccine Deployment and Vaccination Campaign

Reiteration on the Shelf Lives and Expiry Dates of COVID-19 Vaccines

This Advisory is issued to inform all Regional/Local Vaccination Operation Centers

(R/LVOCs), Implementing Units and Vaccination Sites on the shelf lives and expiry dates of
COVID-19 vaccines with Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) from the Food and Drug
Administration (FDA).

The Department of Health received COVID-19 vaccines with labels not consistent with
the approved EUA. However, the expiry dates of COVID-19 vaccines are based on the EUA-
approved shelf life. COVID-19 vaccines should be used within the approved shelf life as
reflected in the EUA.

In this regard, all RVOCs, LVOCs, Implementing Units and Vaccination Sites are
requested to review and check expiry dates based on the approved shelf life of each particular
COVID-19 vaccine by referring to the manufacturing date and calculating the expiry dates
based on the shelf lives stipulated below:

[COVID-19 Vaccine Moderna]

B. Forthcoming vaccines:
1. Whole Virion, Inactivated Corona Virus Vaccine One (1) month
[Covaxin]
2. COVID-19 Vaccine (Vero Cell), Inactivated Twenty-four (24) months
[Sinophram]
 All RVOCs, LVOCs and Implementing Units are instructed to ensure the
