Obtain necessary network materials in accordance with established procedures and check against

Content Standard: The learners demonstrate an understanding of concepts and principles in setting up computer networks.

The learners shall be able to set up computer networks based established procedures and system

At the end of the lesson, the learners will be able to:

1. determine relatively the necessary network materials in accordance with established procedures

Lesson Proper
Using PowerPoint slides discuss the materials needed in installing and configuring computer networks,
on how to obtain computer network materials, and how to make ethernet cable. The discussion will also
compose of:
a. individual Input;
b. reflections among the learners; and
c. peer support if necessary.

In connection with the discussion, a short video clip will be played related to the proper application on
how to make an ethernet cable.
Processing will follow:
a.) Can you recite the wire Color Coding for Straight Through Cable?
b.) How to make an ethernet cable?

The learners are expected to watch the video and answer the following questions related to the main
discussion to assess their understanding, appreciation, and knowledge on how to make an ethernet
cable.

c. Abstraction
The learners are tasked to observe and evaluate what are the proper procedures on how to make an
ethernet cable. Verbal sharing of thoughts will follow.
1. What is the color coding for straight through cable?
2. When to use the straight through cable?
3. How to connect the cable using computer or any networking equipment?

d. Application
The materials needed in the making of ethernet cable will be preparing for the learners.
Let the learners identify the use of each material and tool.
The learners are tasked to perform on how to make an ethernet cable.
Criteria (A Holistic Rubric will be used) for the performance task will be presented.
