Router Configuration
Objectives: Configure the router and connect to the device.
Materials: LAN Cable, RJ 45 Connector, Router, Laptop/ PC
Task:
As a group, create and change the username and password of your
network.
Guide questions:
1. What is the purpose of router configuration?
2. Which do you think is easy to set-up, wired or wireless network?
3. If it’s wireless, why is there a need to configure and update the
network? (Objective 2)

Router Configuration
Procedure:
1. Gather your equipment.
2. Connect the modem to a live internet connection.
3. Connect the wireless router to the modem.
4. Connect a computer to the wireless router.
5. Go to your router's admin webpage in a web browser.
6. Log in to the to the router's user interface.
7. Find the wireless SSID name and password section.8.
Repeat procedure 4.
9. Name your wireless network.
10. Save your changes.

Computers are kept in a safe place as only a few of them are working. The devices and tools are
arranged in the blue cabinet. The room is clutter-free, well-ventilated, and well-lit with a very bright
ambiance which makes it conducive to the teaching-learning process.
