Semi-Detailed Lesson Plan in Physical Education

I. Learning Objectives
At the end of the lesson learners are expected to:

 Discuss the brief history and essential equipment’s of basketball.


 Appreciate the basketball game and;
 Execute the basic skills in basketball.

B. Motivation

The teacher will put pictures of known players in basketball and their corresponding
teams in their chairs. The students will look where the pictures placed, then they will
find their pair student who hold the corresponding team where the NBA players belong.

C. Lesson Proper

The teacher will instruct the students to listen thoroughly as the teachers will discuss the
history, essential equipment’s, and the basic skills of basketball.

D. Application

After the discussion, the teachers will execute each of those basic skills of basketball
with the students.

E. Generalization

This activity will help the students to assess their understanding of the essence of
participating in basketball games through answering the following questions:

1. What basic skills do you need to develop to be successful in playing


basketball?
2. Are they health and fitness benefit we can get out of playing basketball?
V. Evaluation

The teacher will divide the class into 3 groups. Each group will be given 5 minutes to practice
the basic skills of basketball. Afterwards they will execute by group.
