This standard has been prepared by CEN/TC 121 ‘Welding’ (Secretariat: Denmark).
The responsible German body involved in its preparation was the Normenausschuss Schweißtechnik (Weld-
ing Standards Committee), Technical Committee Gasschweißgeräte.
The DIN Standards corresponding to the European and International Standards referred to in clause 2 of the
EN are as follows:

Amendments
This standard differs from DIN EN 730, August 1995 edition, as follows:
a) The standard now consists of two parts, Part 1 dealing with safety devices incorporating a flame
arrestor and Part 2 with safety devices not incorporating a flame arrestor.
b) Table 1 giving a summary of requirements and test sequence for safety devices has been included.
c) Details of marking have been amended.
