GENERAL: The Model LCGA9000 inline electronic oil meter

is designed specifically to dispense motor oils (SAE 5-50),
gear oils (SAE 80-240) and automatic transmission fluid.
Modular design, low cost and lightweight, rugged construction
make this the best choice for inline fluid handling systems.

Model LCGA9000 OPERATION: As fluid passes through the metering chamber

Inline Electronic Oil Meter by entering the inlet port, it forces the internal gears to rotate
and exits through the outlet port. Each rotation of the gear
displaces a given volume of fluid. Controlled clearances
between the gears and chamber wall insure minimum leak-
Model age. As the gears rotate, a magnet on each end of the gear

Depressing the RESET button before each use resets the
totalizer to zero. Squeezing the trigger handle dispenses the
fluid.

The total amount of fluid dispensed from inventory can be
checked periodically by depressing the TOTAL button. If the
units dispensed are pints, quarts, or gallons, the totalizer will
read in gallons. If the units dispensed are in liters, the totaliz-
er will read in liters.

PROGRAMMING

PROGRAMMING SWITCH:
Located on the underside of the module. Must be
depressed for 5 seconds and released to activate the pro-
gramming procedure.
TOTAL BUTTON:
A. When depressed alone, it will display total gallons or
liters used from inventory.
B. When depressed in the programming mode, it will allow
you to select any item to be changed. The meter displays in
two-digit precision.
RESET BUTTON:
A. When depressed momentarily, it will clear the display.
B. When depressed in the programming mode, it will
change any flashing object on the display.
TO CHANGE UNITS OF MEASURE:
A. Remove 3 screws holding electronic register module to
lube meter body.
B. Depress the programming switch on bottom of module
for 5 seconds and release to activate the programming pro-
cedure. A unit of measure symbol will flash.
C. Toggle reset button until desired unit of measure symbol
appears.
D. Again depress the programming switch on bottom of
module for 5 seconds and release to end the programming
procedure. This operation will lock in the selected program
and blank the display.
NOTE: Changing any unit of measure will reset the totalizer
to zero.

Pressure Relief Procedure
To reduce the risk of serious bodily injury, including
fluid injection or splashing in the eyes or on the skin,
always follow this procedure when shutting down the
system, and before checking or repairing control han-
dles or any other part of the system.
1. Turn off the power supply to the pump.
2. Trigger the control handle into a waste
container to relieve pressure in the line.
3. Open any bleed-type master air valves
and fluid drain valves in the system.
4. Leave the drain valve open until you are
ready to dispense fluid under pressure
again.
RECALIBRATION

TO RECALIBRATE:
Example:
4 Meter delivers 4.20 quarts.
4 Display shows only 4.00 quarts dispensed
4 4.2 (qty. delivered) divided by
4.0 (qty. displayed) = 1.05 (error factor)
NOTE: Original meter correction factor is written on top of
meter housing when factory calibrated. It may have been
revised after field installation. Use correction factor shown
on display.
A. Display existing meter correction factor by depressing
and holding both the total and reset buttons.
Example: 3.4621 (Make a note of this number.)
B. Calculate a new meter correction factor: 3.4621 (exist-
ing meter correction factor) x 1.05 (calculated error factor)
= 3.6352 (new meter correction factor).
C. Remove 3 screws holding register module to meter.
D. Depress the programming switch on bottom of module
for 5 seconds and release to activate the programming
procedure.
E. Display will show existing meter correction factor, and
programmed unit of measure symbol will be flashing.
F. Toggle total button until leftmost correction factor digit
that you wish to change begins to flash.
G. Toggle reset button until desired digit (3) appears.
H. Toggle total button until the next digit you wish to
change begins to flash.
I. Toggle reset button until the desired digit (6) appears.
J. Toggle total button until the next digit you wish to
change appears.
K. Toggle reset button until the desired digit (3) appears.
L. Toggle total button until the next digit you wish to
change begins to flash.
M. Toggle reset button until the desired digit (5) appears.
N. Toggle total button until the next digit you wish to
change begins to flash.
O. Toggle reset button until the desired digit (2) appears.
P. Again depress the programming switch for 5 seconds
and release to end the programming procedure. This oper-
ation will lock in the selected program and blank the dis-
play. Reinstall the register to the lube meter.
NOTE: After programming, display will be blank. Depress
reset or total button to reactivate the display.

LEGACY MANUFACTURING COMPANY ("LEGACY") warrants that this equipment will be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of five (5) years
from the date of purchase, under normal use.* LEGACY’S sole obligation under this warranty is limited to replacing or repairing, free of charge, any equipment that proves to be
defective under normal conditions and use according to the recommendations of LEGACY. To obtain repair or replacement, the equipment must be shipped to a LEGACY author-
ized Warranty and Service Center during the warranty period, transportation charges prepaid, with proof of date of purchase. In the event of repair or replacement, the warranty
period shall not be extended beyond the original warranty period.
This warranty is extended to the original purchaser only and is not transferable. This warranty does not apply to normal wear items such as packings, seals, tips and
filters, or to equipment damaged from accident, overload, abuse, misuse, negligence, faulty installation or abrasive or corrosive materials, or to equipment repaired or altered by
anyone not authorized by LEGACY to repair and alter equipment. No allowance will be granted for any repairs or alterations made by a purchaser without LEGACY’S prior written
