Why do we need ICT?

We know that today our worlds are suffering from the effects of COVID-19. So our
educational system (DepEd) / (CHED) make way to be solved on how our education flow in
the time of pandemic. And ICT can improve the quality of human life because it can be used
as learning and education media, the mass communication media in promoting and
campaigning practical and important issues, such as the health and social area. ... ICT has
become an integral part of everyday life for many people.

Specially the use of the World Wide Web, as it allows us to be kept informed on a
range of issues; and also allows us to communicate with one another. Nowadays anything is
possible when using ICT as a way of communicating between organization and society. ICT
also left a mark on the way in which society communicates. E-mails, instant messaging,
video conferences are all new ways in which people communicate effectively every day.
These in turn, impact the economy. People have a much better standard of living as they
don't have to pay for phone bills, plane ticket, or spend money or gas to visit their friends.
Instead, this can all be done within a few seconds with a computer costing less than a single
plane ticket. This is the proof that ICT is important in our daily life.

The vision for ICT in education, is “21st Century Education for All Filipinos, Anytime,
Anywhere.” This means ICT-enabled education system that transforms students into
dynamic life-long learners and values-centered, proficient, productive and responsible
citizens.
Education is the basic foundation. This may be the reason why the Philippine
government is in constant effort to equip its people on teaching them the impact of
technology in the teaching and learning arena. As we all know, Information and
Communication Technology (ICT) is radically transforming the way we live. ICT is common in
our work, study and personal lives. Today’s learners are exposed to massive technological
change and innovation. It recognizes that ICT provides schools and learners with exciting
opportunities for learning and collaboration. Its goal is to continue to help our students
develop because Filipino learners today are growing in a world characterized by
technological. It recognized that there is a massive need to equip learners with the
necessary skills and experiences that will enable them to become globally competitive. ICT
