CORONA VIRUS

We stay indoors even if we want to go out

We keep distance even if we want to hangout
Every person is being affected, rich or poor, homeless or not
No one is exempted but it’s on us not to be infected
Have you ever wonder how our lives have changed
Since this virus has spread in this world, it has invaded

Everything went to a halt, slow mo we never wanted

Year 2020 is a year that made men devastated
We don’t have a choice but to adapt to this new normal
We’ll have to stay away from others for awhile
Follow authorities to save our and other’s life
Who knows maybe it’ll be over next year or five

ELEMENTS OF ART
ACTIVITY 1
Discuss briefly the element/s of art applied in each artwork.

A. Three Musicians, 1921 by Pablo Picasso

 The technique used to form the flat geometric shapes is cut-and-paste
collage.  He chose a great combination of color and made a use from primary
color: red, yellow, and blue, to create a focal point for the viewers. These
bright colors together with other tone help comfort the mood. The painting
contains three musicians playing different musical instruments. There are the
man on a white suit playing clarinet, the man with a diamond pattern
costume playing guitar, and the man with black outfit singing while holding
music sheet.

B. Fruits of the Midi, 1881 by Pierre-Auguste Renoir

 Renoir's arrangement of objects in and around a blue-and-white plate is
abundant but stable and the background elements a plain, white tablecloth
and solid, blue-green wall are even austere. The still-life genre allowed the
artist to concentrate on form and local color. He deliberately weighed the
relative placement of each fruit and vegetable, lending them certain
monumentality by using long, diagonal brush strokes.

ACTIVITY 2

landscape painting below and write a simple description about it.
Planting Rice by Fernando Amorsolo

scenes of the Filipino countryside,
harmoniously composed and richly
coloured, saturated with bright sunlight
and populated by beautiful, happy people.
It is an art of beauty, contentment, peace
and plenty.  ‘Planting Rice with Mayon
Volcano’. Here, happy Filipino villagers in
their bright clothes and straw hats work
together amid a green and sunlit landscape
of plenty. Behind them, releasing a peaceful
plume of steam raises the beautifully
symmetrical cone of Mayon volcano.
