2. Plates:
• Different Aramco projects have different requirement such as, Tensile testing &
Impact testing & HIC. These are mainly done by manufacturer while we order
material.
• Tensile & impact are required at 1/2t, stockiest plate does not have these testing.
• Almost all Aramco jobs are sour service, plate need HIC testing.
• Post weld heat treatment & retest of tensile & Impact.
Conclusion:
1. We cannot use them if the MTC does not meets requirement, we will be help us and
finally they had to be scrap.
2. Also flange offered, the manufacturer of flange is black listed by Aramco. So there is
no way we can use them.
3. Further investigation is needed to segregate Korea flanges and to remove them out
of quotation.
Final Conclusion:
Material can be use or may not be use at all.
It will take at least 10 to 15 years to use these materials, even though we will not be
able to utilize them even 50%.
By this span of time they will be scrap.
