    Introduction
    Pin samples has been recevied from the customer for crack. Microanalysis of the pin samples has been carried out
    discussed in the respective sections.
    Microanalysis

    Magnification-500X
    Magnification-200X
    Orientation-Transverse
    Orientation- Transverse
    Depth-0.05 mm
    Observation
    Raw material defect of depth 0.05 mm has been observed in the recevied pin.
    Remark / Conclusion
     Observed defect has very small depth and observed in the grove of pin (groving involve some material removal )
    which suggest that the defect was not open in the supply condition. After groving operation defect has opened up.
     As defect is not visible in the supply condititon it is very difficult to the visual inspection team to detect the defect
    in the supply condtion.
     To find out the root cuause , Venus require some more sample (10-20 pcs) to study inhouse and sent supplier for
    detailed analysis.
