ASSALAMUALIKUM AND GOOD MORNING, EVERYONE.

MY NAME IS
ROSHALINA PC19006. So today we will present about scenario 2. We chose the nestle
company to be associated with our scenario.

SLIDE 1

As u know Nestlé is a food and pharmaceutical giant that operates almost

worldwide. Headquartered in Vevey, Switzerland, the company has revenues of
$ 76 billion and more than 253,000 employees at 500 facilities in 80 countries.
Famous for chocolate, coffee (producing instant coffee), and dairy products,
Nestlé sells thousands of other items, many tailored to local markets and
cultures.
Nestlé believes that accidents are avoidable and therefore “one accident is too
much”. Integrate Safety and Health in business management in a way that all
activities are considered with the perspective of accident prevention and
protection of all types of working people. To develop a safety culture that is so
strong as to effectively prevent accidents, Nestle created a local safety and
health organization that provides expert advice to managers and employees.
Employees need to be committed to performing systematic hazard identification
and managing it accordingly risk assessment and subsequent actions to
minimize hazards. Furthermore, establish emergency and contingency plans to
address residual risks. This approach also minimizes threats to the business,
protecting the interests of Nestle shareholders.

SLIDE 2

The Safety & Health Committee team has found the Nestle company’s safety
and fire protection systems problematic. The fire sprinkle system in the factory
has a very low water pressure. This is because the piping system that connects
from the water source to the pumps does not work properly. This causes the
water in the fire sprinkle system to not be removed properly. In addition,
Nestle's fire extinguisher is not enough in every department. Part of the Fire
extinguisher has been used up and has not been replaced. Therefore, this matter
is very serious to be mediated for the safety of the company and employees.

1. Sprinkler System

One of the most commonly used building fire extinguishing systems is the
sprinkler fire extinguisher. This device works to detect fires earlier because the
fire sprinkler can work automatically as soon as the temperature in the room
changes. One of its components, the sprinkler head, can automatically remove
water if the room temperature is detected to rise to 68 degrees.

The Fire Alarm System will open automatically in the event of a fire in the
room and the sprinkler will release water to extinguish it. The amount of water
that comes out depends on the size of the fire in the room.

With its ability to detect changes in internal temperature automatically, this

device is highly reliable for preventing large fires. Small fires will be detected
immediately so that they can be handled immediately.

2. Fire extinguisher
this must be done manually. Even so, that doesn’t mean fire extinguishers are
less effective and efficient in carrying out their functions.

Fire extinguishers are very reliable if in one situation some automatic

extinguishers are unable to put out all the fires in the building because the fire is
out of range. The easy -to -carry shape of the fire extinguisher allows you to
focus it directly on a hot spot to put it out quickly.
Also called a lightweight fire extinguisher, a fire extinguisher consists of a
tube fitted with a hose. Canisters contain chemicals that are useful for
extinguishing fires.
