W H E R E A S , the review of said Executive Orders by the Sangguniang B a y a n

is i n accordance w i t h its Powers, D u t i e s a n d F u n c t i o n s as stipulated u n d e r
S u b - S e c t i o n ( 1 ) (i) o f S e c t i o n 4 4 7 o f t h e L x } c a l G o v e r n m e n t C o d e o f 1 9 9 1 , w h i c h
states t h a t :

" S e c t i o n (1). A p p r o v e o r d i n a n c e s a n d p a s s r e s o l u t i o n n e c e s s a r y f o r an
efficient a n d effective m u n i c i p a l g o v e r n m e n t , a n d i n t h i s c o n n e c t i o n , s h a l l :

executive orders issued by the p u n o n g barangay to determine whether
these are w i t h i n the scope of the prescribed powers of the sanggunian
and of the p u n o n g barangay".

W H E R E A S , after a brief deliberation, the m e m b e r s of the august Body

decided to confirm the said Executive Orders, passage of w h i c h being in
accordance with law;

W H E R E F O R E , o n m o t i o n o f S a n g g u n i a n g B a y a n M e m b e r A l l e n L. C a b a g ,
duly jointly seconded by Sangguniang B a y a n Members Joel D. Basanes II and
Jocelyn Cabag-Burgos, it was
