ServiceMax is a SAAS based field service management tool build on the


SalesForce platform. As director, he oversaw 4 development teams in India,
30 engineers and 4 managers. He drove capacity planning, improved feature
definition and Agile Story-Time, delivering a challenging Spring release with
a significant decrease in found defects. He accelerated hiring, growing the

teams by 20% in 6 months and hired a new engineering manager in India.


He executed on removing 3 ineffective team members in engineering and
conducted a talent review. He also worked as an engineering manager
overseeing the Pleasanton team developing the first ServiceMax Android
application. In this capacity he managed 4 engineers.

Oracle

WWC Compensation Planning System. This included managing the team,

Research Engineer

He worked for 12 years on advanced imaging systems for Ricoh. 2 years


were spent in the Research Center in Japan, followed by 10 years at the
Ricoh California Research Center. Today he holds 33 patents for the work
done on Image Processing and Pattern Recognition. At CRC collaborating
teams developed hardware prototypes in ASIC and FPGA technology to

simulate target systems. Software and firmware was developed to run on those
prototypes. He developed ground cutting algorithms in Image Segmentation,
Analysis and Pattern Matching. These systems were patented and productized
into the latest generation of Ricoh Digital Copiers. John managed the
technology transfer between California and Japan and was applauded for his
people skills and diplomacy between different engineering teams. He helped
in building strong relations between product teams in Japan and algorithm
developers at the Ricoh California Research Center.
