Production Diary.

22/03/2022
Today I was put in a group with Alex and Dylan and we had to create a mind map of essential
qualities of working in a group.
However I was not in for this lesson.

25/03/2022
Today we had to create ideas for our short film and we decided on the final storyline we wanted.
My role in the group was to write up the ending of the storyline of the short film we will be creating.
Everything went well and smoothly. We were easily able to make the story and make any changes we
needed to make.

We also made a plan for what we were going to create and different ideas we may base our film on
and the kind of storyline we will be using.

28/03/22
We created a shot list and added what we were going to be filming and what kind of shots we were
going to include in the film.
We listed all the shots and what kind of angles and shot types we will be using, I also had to write a
description about what will be taking place in those shots.
I also started my storyboard. I had to write a brief description about what will be happening in the
scene and what kind of soundtrack we will use and how long each shot will take to film.

29/03/2022
Today we continued to work as a group on our shot list for our short film during all 3 lessons.
We finished the shot list, however it needs to be reviewed by the teacher.

19/04/2022
I printed out the storyboard and started to draw it out.
I had to sketch every scene and outline it with a pen after.

20/04/2022
I have finished drawing my storyboard.
I had to re-draw a couple of scenes since they did not reflect the camera shot type.
Once I drew out my storyboard I had to overline it with a pen and scanned it on the printer.
10/05/2022
Today I started filming the film and we went outside and shot some scenes.
Some of them aren't that good because it's the first time we have used equipment like this so we are
getting used to it.

16/05/2022
I went out and started filming again. I also finished the logging sheet for the clips and I put all the
clips we have into a folder.

24/05/2022
Today I finished filming and have started editing my film. I used premiere pro to edit my short film
and add in effects and cut things out.

I began to cut clips out and match them together in order of what I wanted them to go in. First I put
all my clips together and cut out the bits I did not want to use and made them sync up.
After I finished this I started to add in effects and edits.

I also added in a sound track that I think will work well with the film and I added sound effects in to
make it sound interesting and keep the viewer engaged.

Then I added in effects, on the right hand side you can see a list of effects to use.
I used things such as fade in and out, and fade to white when there is a certain scene such as a
flashback.
