GUIDELINES FOR SUBMISSION OF PROJECT REPORT

The students of 8th semester of Five Years Integrated course of B.A.LL.B (Hons.), shall be
required to ensue the following guidelines for preparing a project report carrying hundred
(100) marks which shall be assigned for the project report submission including the
presentation or viva-voce. The students shall be notified project titles/ topics either before the
commencement of the semester vacation or prior to the semester in which the course is offered.

NOTE: any project report prepared ouside the followingguidelinesshall notbeaccepted in

anycase.Ii shall be compulsory to submit theproject report subjectto which the student shall
beallowed to appear for the viva-voce presentation, Any form of plagiarism or similarity
adopted while preparing the project is discouraged which shall lead to deduction of marks
accordingly.

TENTATIVE DURATION OF PROJECT REPORT: within 3 weeks starting from

the date on which the topic is allotted to the student.
Each student shall be required to prepare a project report assigned by the concerned co-
supervisor, the details of which needs to be mentioned by the student in the cover page
of the project report. No other topic other than what has been assigned to the student
shall be accepted in any case whatsoever.
The presentation or viva-voce of the projects shall be organized only after thee
submission of the projects by the students. Such presentation or viva-voce shall be
conducted and evaluated by the external faculty allotted by the university. Both project
submission and viva-voce/presentation shall carry 100 marks.
FRONT PAGE: as per the design provided by the institute (including the logo).

(Note:heword length of the content ofprojectincluding only chaptersshould be

ofminiunm 2500 words to maximum 3000 words; exchuding other heads like
acknowledgement, listofreferences,list ofcase laws, list of abbreviations, as well
asfootnotes etc.)

PREPARATION OF REPORT: the project should be properly divided into chapters

(as specified above). Proper footnotes and formatting are strictly recommended. (Note:

thesources ofthethingslike books, caselaws, or cited articles etc mentioned inthe

footnote should alsohementionedin ihe "tist ofreferences'ie.hewebsite link of an
article cited from theinternet shondd bementioned in the listofreferences'as well)

. All the students are required to comply with the given format for the offline
submission: the requirements for which are provided as under:

() The project report should be typed and not handwritten.

(1i) Font theme: Times New Roman

(ii) Font Size for the content ofthe project: 12

(iv) Heading font size: 14 (if the heading is mentioned within inverted
commas" then it should not be written in italics)

(v) Line spacing: 1.5

(vi) Margins for both left and right: 1.5

(vii) The page number is to be mentioned clearly on each page at bottom

right.
(vii) Avoid inserting borders in the content of the project. Borders can be
inserted only in the title and the cover page.

. All students shall be required to submit two copies (one in soft copy and another
in hard copy) of the project report to the allotted co-supervisor/ supervisor
within the prescribed time period of 3 weeks of the even semester.

The project report must be submitted in spiral binding.

Each student shall be required to mention the details of primary and secondary
sources like links of websites, research articles, books or journals, newspaper
articles, case laws etc. with proper and full citations in the LIST OF

REFERENCES/WORK CITED', of the project report.

All the students are supposed to complete the project report timely. Any delay
in submitting the project is discouraged.
For any assistance or query regarding the project report, the student is advised

to consult the concerned supervisor allotted to them.

NOTE: heformat and outline of the title page is mentioned in the adjoining page.
