EEFs AND TOOLS OF IMPACT ANALYSIS 3

Introduction
The “Enterprise Environmental Factors (EEFs)” are measures that are utilized by organizations
to achieve success of any organizational project either internally or externally. This typically
entails the analysis of existing market conditions, prevalent culture, weather conditions, political
situations and governmental regulations that are enforced by a particular organization. The
proposed report has been prepared to identify the impact of “enterprise environmental factors
(EEFs)” upon project operations and propose relevant analysis based on evaluation of different
internal and external factors that can be utilized for quantitative and qualitative impact analysis
in the case of EEFs. The strategies that have been adopted are devised on grounds of appropriate
reasons emphasizing on action courses based on communication amongst various stakeholders
regarding the project process and associated outcomes.

Discussion

Enterprise Environmental Factors (EEFs) of the Project

The enterprise environmental factors (EEFs) associated with the given project includes
evaluation of both the external and internal factors pertinent to the organization.

The external factor analysis associated with the organization includes the following

 Political Factor
This is amongst the factors that have to be carefully considered. If the organization
intends to expand their business internationally, it is vital to consider the political climate
in those countries as well. Changes in politics may impact your business.
 Existing Market Conditions
The marketplace is amongst the most critical external factor. The marketplace is a
wide platform with many branches. This includes knowledge of market position,
competitive rivalry, customers, and awareness of the brand.
 Cultural and Social Influences
EEFs AND TOOLS OF IMPACT ANALYSIS 4

This is amongst the factors that lie beyond the control of the selected organization under
consideration. This involves the analysis of the influence of the organization upon both
culture and society. This entails considerations such as the ethics, community norms and
relevant target users of the selected product. It is also inclusive of the consideration of
norms of other stakeholders associated with the project success.
 Governmental Restrictions and Regulations
This includes legal restrictions such as security restrictions and regulations imposed on
security and data protection. Contractual restrictions emphasizes upon partnerships
fostered amongst stakeholders (Formby et al., 2019). Contractual agreements may impair
document storage, accessibility, and auditing standards.
 Economic Factors
The economic and financial factor analysis is inclusive of the analysis underlying
financial conditions such as interest rates and currency exchange rates and so on.
 Commercial Databases
This involves considerations that stresses on cost estimation, risk evaluation and
assessment of risk information.

The internal factor analysis that is required for the organization includes the following factors

Administration and Organizational Culture

This includes considerations pertaining to structure, prevalent culture and administration

operating within the organization impacting the project management of the organization. This is
carried out to ensure compatibility between the organization and product itself.

Infrastructure and Architecture

The architecture and infrastructure plays a pivotal role in influencing business analysis.
Enterprise architecture involves technology components necessary for operating the enterprise.
The infrastructure on the other hand includes the components and tangible tools of operation.

Availability of Resources
EEFs AND TOOLS OF IMPACT ANALYSIS 5

This includes tools that facilitate business operations planning based on the consideration of
existing collaborators and contractors (Höfner, 2019). This includes the following variables
namely employee expertise, Budget and financial standing and relevant security policies.

Framework for Quantitative and Qualitative Impact Analysis of EEFs

The proposed framework for qualitative and quantitative impact analysis (EEFs) entails the use
of waterfall method. The schematic diagrammatic representation of the waterfall method is given
as follows

Figure 1: Waterfall Methodology

(Source: Hofner, 2019)

The first stage entails determination and definition of non-functional prerequisites. The second
step, Software Requirement, defines and documents the functional requirement. In the third
stage, the analysis, prioritization and dependencies of operations are emphasized (KHAN, 2018).
Moreover, the Analyze, prioritize and l dependencies of project operations are revealed during
this phase. Steps 4, 5, and 6 can be referred to as the implementation stage, where the

development team works creating the product. In the final phase, called Maintenance, the
product is customers’ feedback could be used to improve the product.

Justification
The approach can be justified on grounds of the fact that each of its phases is self-contained and
independent of the others. Although reducing dependencies is advantageous for managing and
controlling the operations, there is a risk of painful revisit since teams tend to rush to the next
phase.

Conclusion
To conclude, the proposed report has emphasized the Enterprise Environmental Factors (EEFs)”
utilized by organizations to ensure project management success. The enterprise environmental
factors (EEFs) both in terms of internal and external factors have been identified. Furthermore,
the waterfall methodology has been proposed as the relevant EEF framework.
