 Introduction - Bicentennial Schools

• The authority responsible for the delivery of the program is the Special Public Investment
Project Bicentennial Schools, or PEIP-Bicentennial Schools, an autonomous unit of the
Peruvian Ministry of Education (MINEDU).

• The scope of the program includes the construction and equipping of 75 schools in 5
different climatic zones in Metropolitan Lima and 9 regions of the country.

• The programme operates within the framework of a Government to Government

Agreement (G2G) between the United Kingdom and Peru, with the collaboration of
Finland, and provides specialised technical advice through the British-Finnish consortium
Koulu.

• Program delivery expected in early 2024

2017.
• From the NEC4 family, the following contracts have
been chosen:
For design and construction works - ECC
(engineering and construction contract).
For quality supervision services and SSOMA
- PSSC (short professional services contract).
• The number of changes has been reduced.

• We have chosen two-stage contracts, using the new secondary option X22 of the NEC4.
• We have chosen pricing modalities that best meet the Client's objectives and constraints with respect to the level of
information currently available.
