Hello, we are Yarleny Medina and my person Andrea Ochoa, we welcome you to a new
podcast which is called knowing Venezuela In today's first episode we are going to talk
about Merida and how to make cheap cars.

The first tourist site is The Mucubají Lagoon is one of the main tourist attractions in the state.
It is located in the Páramo Merideño, on the road to Santo Domingo and Barinas, turning
right at the siding fork, in the Sierra Nevada National Park.

Here you can fish between March and September, that is at the moment, but only with a
permit granted by the Ministry of Agriculture of Mérida, in the surroundings you can see the
frailejones, which are the typical plants of the Merida paramos, from the lagoon the
excursion to the black lagoon begins, walking can take up to three hours, you can also rent
horses, on horseback it can last up to half an hour.

The truth is that I thought it was a very nice place, with some mystery, right? I felt that a
monster could come out of the lagoon at any time, it's also cold, quite, of course, that also
depends on the date you visit, just like the peaks.

No, my friend, where it is coldest is in the eagle's peak, Since it has a height of 4118 m
above sea level.

This monument was founded in 1927 by the Colombian artist Marcos, sea lion, representing
an Andean Condor in honor of the passage of the Andes by the liberator Simón Bolívar.

Visiting this magical place is an unforgettable experience since from there we can observe
the beauty of Mérida and if we are lucky we can find even a little snow, and after a long walk
at the foot of the mountain we can find a restaurant where you can eat or simply enjoy a
drink of hot chocolate or coffee and thus have a good time with the family.

To have a good time I recommend you visit Los Chorros de Milla, they are at the end of the
main avenue of Los Chorros de Milla in the extreme northeast of the city of Mérida, it is one
of the most visited sites in the state, it occupies an area of ten hectares, the park is nestled
in a small valley formed by the Milla River.

It opens to the public from Tuesday to Sunday from nine in the morning until four in the
afternoon, the entrance to the park costs two dollars for adults and one dollar for children, I
honestly see it quite cheap unlike other parks and distractions , taking into account all its
maintenance.

Here you can see more than one hundred and forty-nine species of animals, ranging from
reptiles, mammals, birds, among others. there are animals such as the spectacled bear,
tapirs, hippos, lions, camels and more, super good. there are spaces for picnics, kiosks that
sell snacks, handicraft kiosks, I bought some very nice bracelets, there are some climbing
walls that my God, I climbed when I was a girl, I was too scared because of the height and I
went down all scared, Thank heavens the other kids didn't notice.

That reminds me of the number of children in the Museum, the crazy Caraballo light telling
its story.

Located on the banks of the trans-Andean highway, on a small hill, is the monument to Loca
Luz Caraballo, its design was the work of the sculptor and professor at the ULA Manuel de
La Fuente, with a panoramic and spectacular view of all Apartaderos.

This monument was founded in 1927 by the Colombian artist Marcos, sea lion, representing
an Andean Condor in honor of the passage of the Andes by the liberator Simón Bolívar.

And this was today's podcast, we hope you liked it and are encouraged to visit these places,
if you do, don't forget to tell us how you had a good time. We hope to see you here soon,
until the next podcast.
